THIS is the problem. Adding more skins than actual playable content is so frustrating, especially after such a long time in between seasons. This game is a hollow shell of what was especially the destruction. If you haven't already, go play the older BF's like bf4, bf1, or bf5 . THOSE are REAL battlefield games. This is beyond a joke at this point
The people who make skins are not the people who make the maps or guns.

They really just used the stadium from hourglass and called it a new map. I'm done.

@@toucansam8164 Leaning and vaulting needs to be in the future game. Coming from BFV to this made me wonder who decided to remove the best movement in battlefields history? The rolling, vaulting, crouch running, short sliding, grabbing a ledge when jumping down, pulling yourself up if the ledge is just high enough to grab...
The director said (not exact words but in the same direction) that he wanted to make this game feel less about "parkouring" and more about running and gunning.
Well that probably means that the people have started to play the game more and are kinda thinking about pushing more seasons out? Kinda like it happened when they released hardline and everyone kept playing bf4, which led to us getting CTE and all the extra content in that game. Now i'm not saying we'll get that here, but i don't see the few people that are wroking on this game stopping anytime soon..
Understand they’re using bf2042 as a sandbox for the next bf games they’re trying new things and keeping the game actually fresh somewhat. So no complaints here.

It wasn't good marketing to say 2 new maps when it's really one with a rehash. They'd have got a better reaction saying one new map and just released the stadium as a bonus.😮
I wouldn't be concerned about the quantity of new maps; instead, I'd be more worried about the franchise morphing into a dysfunctional imitation of Call of Duty. I mean, if I wanted to play CoD, I'd just click on the CoD shortcut, not the Battlefield one. 🙄
@IngridMolinaa if you go back to even BFV there's a stark difference in how the game looks and feels. It's already become completely washed of Battlefield. It feels like a large-scale CoD. Even the gunplay and movement feels CoD-like, but worse than CoD itself.

Its new to all old-gen console players. I have been playing this game on ps4 since release day and was gutted when the stadium wasnt available for old gen consoles. I finally get to play it 2 years later 🙌
@@blackman8603 I switched to ps5 eventually (not bc of the bigger maps) but I was too late to experience it so now I will also experience it for the first time. Hopefully I get some meat grinder vibes with 64 players🔥

@@JasmineAnita.I mean if it goes through the passenger seats it's understandable. It's more like impressive that the game keeps the hitboxes on that level.
The fact that not every single explosive isn't oneshot to heli dogs is enough.
Tanks are fine helicopters have never EVER been balanced.
I mean it really depends on how they have balanced it, if it is hard use, a one-hit kill is understandable. If it's somewhat easy on the other hand...

@@alejandrobarrios9284 Yeah, Lis rocket can be used, but won't be as agile and nimble to get to the elite level little bird pilots. I know you haven't knocked "every" little bird down with this Lis rocket. For the times you've missed, the SRAW selection may help for certain.

Kind of disappointing one of the two "new" maps is just the stadium that we lost from hourglass. Hopefully they spruced it up like they did with a lot of the other maps though. Also I'm guessing it will be 64 players.
The other map is using only assets from Arica Harbor.
I'm kind disappointed on both to be honest. One really isn't a new map. The Chile looks very similar to Arica Harbor already in the game. They used the same props and almost the same layout. I was expecting something a little bit more fresh

@@enterprisethesylveon5787 the difference is, Zavod isnt in Portal and DICE had to make some assets. This chile map however is basically Arica Harbor (a map already in portal)

They should've added every other weapon from Portal into all out war. With attachments and unlockable skins. Yes, even the ww2 guns.

The visual recoil change seems great, BF always had issues with your bullets being fired in a "cone" instead of exactly where the sights are at the exact time the bullet was fired. Always felt like I missed shots because of it.

@@cosmosequation6672 It's noticable. The guns now leans a bit with the recoil and the guns pulls back a bit more. Right now some guns just feel like they don't jump at all

Jack, the LMG looks to be either the FightLite system you mentioned or the Ares 16. The Ares 16 is what the AWS in BF4 was based on even though they didn’t implement it correctly. Both systems allow you to replace the upper receiver on your AR-15 with a belt fed upper. You can then either use your standard mags or use the mag well to fit your belt box and feed the belt through the receiver.

@@chaimkobylinski1988 The first trailer for 2042 Had signs and debris flying everywhere and rubble also, like if a Building was torn too shreds, also a month before that trailer DICE released a Video Demo of full destruction, meaning a large building with over ten stories being destroyed and creating cover underneath from the rubble.
Aka false advertising and marketing strategies. They even said Destruction was in the game NEVER saying they toned down destruction.
Also used language like "A Love Letter to Battlefield Veterans" Which implies large amounts of destruction THE THING the Entire BF franchise is known for.
I'm curious to see...like, I'm not really expecting there to be any destruction, but I would be pleasantly surprised if there was.
@@le_fancy_squid The Buildings look similar to the ones that were in hourglass, it will be bare minimum destruction most likely. The MAIN thing that attracts people to the Franchise...How does Bad Company have better destruction than 2042? It makes zero logical sense...

I remember when we got new maps and not two years of map rework now a section of the old hourglass. They should have pulled the plug player count can't maintain. I feel now they throwing anything in the game now just to make what they can't till they come out with new bf
The destruction was one of the first things that really stood out to me in the trailer and I can't wait to see if it's legit

Even with ONE new map, these ridiculous skins are such a turn off to playing the game again. This among other things. I miss a true Battlefield game.
Looks like a Bad Company 2 map. I like this for that reason only. In the faint hope that one day they actually make Bad Company 3 or at least a proper, full Bad Company 2 remaster.

I feel like in the stadium map, half of the stadium is going to fall down make new access points. If did did this with good destruction mechanics, I feel it would be insane.
They're bringing back the stadium section of hourglass!?!? YESSSSSSSS. There were some great portions of maps which were lost when they re-worked them, so I'm so pumped to get them back!

I got an Xbox one x in December and started playing again. It’s actually enjoyable now. Only thing I can’t do on a controller is snipe.
Try the dmrs as well. They are really good in this game.

I don't understand why they don't bring Bandar Desert map from BF3 dlc Armored Kill. One of my favorite BF maps ever + they don't need to remake anything.
People would complain that it's too large. Look what we're getting now - infantry maps to please Metro/Locker fans, and an Arica Harbor successor with the planes removed to please Bad Company ""veterans""

"Labor of love" you say? Where the hell have these destructible maps been during this entire game, on top of the plethora of classic battlefield features that should have been present from the start. Still can't believe anyone defends this company anymore. Not only that but the live service they keep pushing is just a big scammy cash grab. Only 30 standard rewards and about 70 premium awards? My ass. Everyone already spent 70 bucks on the game and thats not good enough apparently. Remember when things like these used to be free with a little in game grind? Stop supporting EA and other AAA companies like it. They're contributing to dirty business which effects a lot more than just the gaming industry. There are many other indie devs out there with innovations beyond belief, those are movements worth supporting instead, since they actually care about the player base and the things that they make.

I've been dying for an urban map in 2042 and the AK5C was one of my favorite guns in BF4 so I'm super happy with this update. Can't wait to try the stealth bomb too if that's next season.
Personally, I think it would have been cool if 2042 had urban maps that were the size of 144 player maps. Like imagine if Seine Crossing and Metro were in a single map, with big levelution and helis that wouldn't dominate the entire map, just a section of it at a time.
The stadium map looks good and haven as well, hopefully they take advantage in breakthrough and rush. I'm hoping to see updates in Portal, this feature has been abandoned and it has so much potential.

That’s cool thing to say but in its current form this by far the best FPS MP. Sure it had a rough start like basically every game these days but it’s definitely content rich and gameplay is a lot more fun then any CoD crap

Really unfortunate that camouflage goes cod/fortnight instead of functional. I'd love camos that make sense like forest multicam in the forest, chocolate chip/desert marpat for desert, etc etc.

I recently downloaded BF 2042 and been having a blast, I haven't played BF since BF 4. Done with mw2.23 until next season at the soonest possibly until Gulf War. Fortnite is so much fun this season so much fun I can't even remember why I even stopped playing Fortnite like a year and a half ago.
funny that in the trailer it feels like there are two factions fighting against eachother, but when you play you are having gun fights with yourself. not having factions was the biggest mistake they made. i hope they realize that and fix it for the next one.
I'm Just going to throw this out there. Everyone is complaining about the revamp of stadium. Im calling thats it's the best map in the game. It was great before when it was attached to that monster of a map.

@@thomasoneill5877 Exactly. Loved battling for the little villages as well, with both frontlines in a different village. One of the few times this game gave me an old school BF vibe. For the most part now it's a battle royale game with everybody running around like a headless chicken and enemies in every direction. And for some reason they thought scattering the maps with skycrapers was a good idea. Sad times for BF fans unfortunately.

I'm genuinely surprised we got a season 7. I'd love to see them hit season 12 before the launch of the next BF but I won't hold my breath on that.
Season 12 would launch roughly 3 years from now.

All the maps and the game itself should be a 'labor of love' for the developers. Their bosses need to leave them to it, that's what made the earlier games so great.
As an old gen console player, I felt pretty pissed and sad that I never got to play stadium on hourglass as it reminded me of the stadium from Warzone 1. Now I'm overjoyed that it's coming back. Thanks Dice 😁🙏👊
Door to door combat gives me shades of Pearl Market from bf4. Very excited to see how the map plays.

Looks like were not even getting both maps on this season update. Looking at the note next to the new Stadium map and new bomber and LMG. It says coming in a future season update.

Stadium was fun so I’m glad they brought it back and possibly revamped a bit. Very weird they called it “new”, but no wonder we only saw previews of Haven before this and not the second “new” map

I really hope that we get a the very least a last update (not even a new season) with lots of little changes. Just like they did at the last moment with Battlefield V with that update that finally fixed stock uniform colors, added the scraps of the eastern front DLC, etc. In this case, i would like it to be centered around Portal (I think that the mode lacks a little of care and also it would be nice that they port the remaining content from Portal into the main game. There are maps in that mode that people, like i, had played just once or twice because nobody host them. Same with guns and vehicles; if they port 1942 maps, original vehicles could be in map pick ups or maybe called in like the Ranger in the main game).

they should drop this game and support BFV and SWBF2 with content againe.
