Hey guys! This is just a basic overview. Let me know if there is anything you'd like a more in-depth tutorial on. Thought this was a good starting spot ❤
I would love it if u would do a tutorial on window placement as sometimes I add tooooooooooo many and when I like delete some of them, the build starts to look empty
I would love a tutorial on how to use the "rooms" and save them and be able to add stuff to my builds in the room save thing in build mode... Like I've seen people save brooms and mops and then go to the room save and bring it up and throw it in their bathroom. Same with pictures they've saved from the gallery...like how?! I only know how to save on the gallery and place stuff from there but to be in the build mode half way through my house and be able to add stuff I've saved would be dope but idk how. Sorry it was so long I suck at explaining 😩
I had no idea you could download grown plants from the gallery. That's so very useful! Nice and thorough tutorial. I learned a couple of new tricks. Thanks. 🤗
YAS! I needed this lol I am awful at landscaping and terrain paint. Edit: with that being said, I'd love to see more in-depth of how of the raising and lowering terrain tools - like when you did your drive-in. I can never make something look good with raised/lowered terrain.
Noted! I figured that would be something to do a more in-depth tutorial on. Just wanted to start off with an overview. Writing this down now! Thank you!
@@Gryphi Yay! I have a hard time with the tools in general. I was better at it with the Sims 3 (I joined the Sims 4 community back in like July after finding your channel and Love Simply Sim - y'all made really want to try it out). And thank YOU for your constant inspiration! Definitely one of my top favorite sim builders (probably THE top favorite tbh)!
Don't know about other keyboards, but for SWEDISH KEYBOARDS the resize-buttons for objects are Å (bigger), and ` (smaller). Awesome video! So useful and clear :)
Another helpful tip with terrain paint is placing it around the walls of the house not too much, but just enough to make it look more realistic. This tip doesn't change the way you play, but it adds a touch of realism to your builds.
thank you so much. i am legally blind, and I've looking in debug for hours trying to find those garden path stones. I thought I was just not seeing them, I had no idea there were two secret menus.
A big wow! So much more than I have been using. Thank you for adding to my repertoire! My builds will improve enormously now. I never understood "debug" before and missed the "filter" entirely! After all these years...the game has improved for me
Thanks! I only have an american keyboard, so thats all I could speak to. Yes - Sims 3 Camera mode! I've mentioned it in previous tutorials, but forgot to mention it here. I changed my camera mode to Sims 3 the day the game came out in 2014 and have never used Sims 4 camera, so its definitely something I forget sometimes haha. Thank you~!
MsGryphi You’re welcome! 😊 Just know that you are not the only one that forgets to mention the Sims 3 camera. And I know it could be easily forgotten when you are so used to it by now. 😄
You solved my biggest issue! I always had plants jumping to the foundation level and I couldn't figure out why. Now I know how to fix a few of my houses to look even better. Thank you so so much for that tip. Would love to see a decorating tutorial using the showhiddenobjects cheat, etc from you, as I'm sure you have some awesome tips there too!
Very complete guide! as a lobby time regular player, I familiar with all the keys en most options, I was however looking for some in depth tips on how to terrain paint. I always suck in this department, and dread it when I’m building a house. I love your terrain painting so I hoped this was just that. Hopefully you’ll do a follow up video with more tips on the terrain painting (maybe in combination with the height tools?) keep up your amazing work!! Love your vids
Question. What kind of computer do you have? Trying to find a new computer to play Sims. Also is it a desktop or laptop? Also, love your content, you inspired me to start my own sims RUclips channel (haven’t started yet)!
I'm trying to resize the terrain, but when I click on the open and close bracket the objects move up and down.....maybe it's they way the keyboard is set up? I'm using my hubby's gaming keyboard.
tbh you can actually use showliveeditobjects without showhiddenobjects......I just search in world and click world fence and it shows the items without debug....I think Kate Emerald taught me that

I love you soo much🤗
I really want and need that in-depth tutorial. I really struggle to landscape and end up with great builds on flat, dull lots.
I would love it if u would do a tutorial on window placement as sometimes I add tooooooooooo many and when I like delete some of them, the build starts to look empty
You've literally saved my life here, I didn't even think to do plants before raising the foundations! And I had no clue about holding down shift

Was literally just thinking about how I'm gonna improve my landscaping skills. Thank you so much for this!!
Hope its helpful!

A tip I have is to make everything the height you want, THEN smooth they edges.
I don’t think I’m bad at landscaping but I hate terrain adjustment
11:03 O.M.G. LIFESAVER!!!
Yay! I know how frustrating it is when the plants float haha
Can you also do one for roofs? I find them so hard to make. I have no idea how you create all the height differences and such!
There is already a roofing tutorial in my tutorial playlist :)

Awesome video! So useful and clear :)
Glad you found this helpful! - and thanks for the input on swedish keyboards. I'm sure that will be helpful for a lot of simmers :)
@@Gryphi I hope so! It took me a lot of googling to find myself, and if it can help someone I'm happy.
I searched so Long for the right Keys like 2 years ago and boy was i glad when i finally found Them after way too many attempts😂
Your little montage of debug items was HILARIOUS!
Still new to Sims 4 and this has been a life changer! Incorporated some of your tips into my builds and they've never been better! Thank you for this!
I've been playing since Sims 1 & I have learned tons from your videos that make the game exciting again. Thank you!
aw thats amazing! So glad to hear it :)
me too!
THIS. CHANGED. MY. LIFE
so i know most of these things but your thumbnail aesthetic is tooooo die for. okay ill leave you alone for the day

I love the enthusiasm in your voice when talking about your favorite tree! It is my favorite tree as well🤣🤣🤣
I’m only 4 minutes in and it’s already so helpful! I love how thorough you are! Love you!!! 💜💜
So happy to hear this!! ❤
THANK YOU FOR THIS! Was going crazy trying to figure out how to stop my plants from floating! You’re the only one who covered this!
Thank you for this! Even as an avid sims player I learned new things. I'm definitely adding this to my favorites playlist
❤❤

This is a very helpful tutorial. I love the little tips and trix and I will absolutely try them in game.

wow that is such a great tip about the already grown herbs and vegetables. i would never have thought of that

Glad this was helpful for you!! I have a few tutorials that covered decorating in my tutorial playlist if you'd like to check them out :)
You are so thoughtful doing this, thank you. Looking forward to more. Xx
wow, i had no idea you can choose water type. *off to add a blood pool to my vampire residence*
Landscaping has always been my struggle and decorating the backyard oof >_

Thank god I was having so much trouble finding the bush section!
Thank you for sharing this resource!
I had no idea you could scale the UI 🤩🥳
the stone slabs looks like it could also make a nice path :)
This was good as I am new to sims4, thanks.
You have a lovely voice MsGryphi

I went from playing on a laptop to playing on a custom PC, the PC is way better!

Thank you for this video I always go blank when it comes to landscaping and I found this very helpful!
Happy to hear that!
Hope that i gain a talent for landscaping after watching the video :) thankss
How do you draw the paths like that. I'm using the right tool holding the left mouse button and nothing happens. Any advice please.
Thanks for sharing.
Thise is sooo help fully
Glad to hear it! ❤
I just found this thank youuuu
I DIDNT KNOW ABOUT THE HOLDING SHIFT THING OH MY GOD
I have previously asked this and I can't find what you responded, but what video editor do you use again?😂 I remember OBS for recording
Adobe Premiere Pro :) I'm planning to do a video soon on all the software and hardware I use for my videos :)
Thank you 😂 ❤️

Sorry but i dont understand how did you change the objects color random
Can you tell me🥺🙏🏻❤
Where should i get the terrain tool for my sims 4 😥😥😥 need help thanks
Thank you. I'm shocked you haven't done a university Let's play😞😁
@6:58 There is a whisper just after she says petals and it's terrifying lol Wearing headphones and had to go back to listen can anyone else hear it?
I think she whispered “eww.” Maybe she didn’t care for the algae she had placed.
tbh you can actually use showliveeditobjects without showhiddenobjects......I just search in world and click world fence and it shows the items without debug....I think Kate Emerald taught me that
Good to know. More often than not, you want both though haha. Thanks for letting me know!
Is gallery not a thing on console? 😭 also is love an in depth terrain manipulation tutorial. Everytime I try to do it it looks weird & unnatural.
It's not currently, but the sims team just announced yesterday that the gallery is coming to console in early 2020 and will be cross-platform!
Do you know if showhiddenobject/debug cheat is available on console.?
It is, I've used it from time to time
@@musamusix I have not got mine to work. Maybe I'm typing it in wrong or something. Thank you!!!
@@elizable6837 The debug for me has stopped working too, bummer cause it seem fun
how do I deleted Items in Game without actually clicking on the deleted hammer?
click on an item and press delete on your keyboard (del)
@@Gryphi Ugh Tysmmmm!!!
Why will my terrain not paint !
Do the cheats work on console as well?
yes

Me: watching this for the fifth time because I forgot EVERYTHING

I love those videos, but can't unhear "you gonna wanna" "you wanna" or "you gonna" argh xD
i literally just told myself yesterday that i can not do terrain lol
Definitely something that improves with time. Probably going to do an in-depth tutorial on just terrain sometime next month :)
MsGryphi yes. thank u🤩❤️
