    Bench racing can be informative but the 2s and 3s 6,000 mAh versions of these packs performed very well during speedruns in my RC car (I have test videos to show it). For the price, the 6,000 mAh version was very good! I would love to see you include speedruns along with your bench testing for added information/data.
    The 3s 6,000 mAh hit 99 mph and my top of the line SMC 6,500 mAh 150c hit 102 mph.
    The 2s version hit 80 and my CNHL 8,000 120c hit 81.5 mph. When you factor in the price, these performed exceptionally well.

      It's very likely that the LiPos are highly inconsistent from pack to pack and certainly possible for someone to get decent ones. The two I have show and demonstrate that they are quite awful.
      I've tried speedruns and learned that it's much harder to get consistency in a controlled manner. Keeping all parameters the same all year round is already challenging enough with the load tests and resistance tests.
      I've not seen a battery pull this low of current on the load test, I can't imagine how they would be in a speed run. I could do a speed run and calculate IR at load. There's no way for me to get top speeds consistently in the areas im able to run at.

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff 3 месяца назад

      @@RCexplained I could see the consistency argument being possible. That being said, both the 2s and 3s I ran ran very well.
      I find with 2s speedruns, provided I used a long road and it is not windy, I can get results within a few 1/10ths of a mph with each run and in a video where I tested my 2 CNHL 2s LIPOs, I was within 0.1 mph on the 2 runs. According to my telemetry data, I pulled over 150+ continuous amps when at full throttle during my speedruns out of the 2s and 3s 6,000 mAh versions of the Turnigy Rapid 100C LIPOs and I was VERY happy with how the 2 I have performed, especially at their price point.

    • @RCexplained
      @RCexplained  3 месяца назад +1

      That's pretty good Brian. I'm sure the packs I have and it seems others do as well, would perform equally poor in my test setup as in the speed run vehicles. It's essentially the same test but pulling more current and hitting lower voltage earlier.

    • @BriansRCStuff

      @@RCexplained I just got a chance to watch your full video and I agree - I thought your testing looked great (thought I still like to see actual speedruns as part of the testing. Must be a lot of variation between packs.... I have no other explanation.😉

    Wow I didn't expect them to test this bad. Mine show about 3~4 internal resistance per cell, yet they are the second best performing packs in my XRT second only to my Gens Ace Basher packs and not by that much. My Hoovo and Zeee packs from Amazon totally suck and hit LVC early because of the extreme voltage draw down they have. Someday I want to get some really good packs but the cost for quality is so high.

    • @RCexplained
      @RCexplained  3 месяца назад

      Wow. For me it's quite different.

    • @Doug_Morgan
      @Doug_Morgan 3 месяца назад

      @@RCexplained Yes mine don’t show the greatest internal resistance but actually perform good. Not that much voltage drop, when LVC kicks in they are done whereas my cheap Amazon batteries still have around 3.6 volts in them when they trip LVC. Traxxas LVC is at about 3.3 or 3.4. These batteries are at 3.45 usually when LVC kicks in. I look forward to when I can try a set of real expensive batteries. Being retired now I have to watch my spending.

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff 3 месяца назад +2

      These also tested very well for me! The 3S version hit 99 miles an hour in my car versus my SMC 6500 mAh pack that hit 102 miles an hour.
      For the price, they were extremely solid. Bench racing doesn’t always equate to real world racing.

    I got 3 6000 mAh of these batteries early at release and for me they exhibit 2-4 mOhm internal resistance. Maybe my charger isn't very accurate but they show lower resistance than almost any of my other batteries, about same as CNHL 3s 100c batteries

      You must have got lucky, I have 6 of these Rapide batteries. A mixture of 2s, 3s & 4s 5000 mah + one 3s 6000mah. Out the box they pretty much read around 10 - 12 mOhm per cell, I checked the ir on 2 different chargers & got pretty much the same readings.The 3s 6000mah I cycled 5 times on my charger for break in. I have only ran that battery a few times, but it still reads 7-8-3 mOhm per cell. The other 5 batteries were also cycled the same still read around 7 - 9 mOhm per cell. Punch seems pretty good on these Rapide batteries but I very much dought I will buy any more, as most of my other brand batteries read between 2 - 4 mOhm per cell.

    I have some of these cheap Rapide batteries, I was surprised at how high the ir is on these so called 100c - 200c batteries. Out the box is saw around 10 - 12 mohm per cell, I cycled the packs 5 times on my charger before using them in my cars. The ir has dropped slightly to around 7 - 9 mohm per cell, still way way higher than most other batteries i have. I checked the ir on 2 chargers I have, one is the Hota S6 charger the other is the ICharger 106B. Both chargers gave similar readings on the ir, I wont be buying any more of these Rapide packs. Having said that the punch these batteries give seems pretty good though.
