  • Want to Buy A Cheap decent Carp Fishing Rod? Then Look No Further!
    With Carp Fishing extremely expensive these days I thought I would pay homage to the Sonik Vader X RS Carp fishing rods by giving an honest review for you guys!
    After using these rods for the past 3 years I review their robustness, what they are like to cast and how far you can, strength, price, aesthetics and what they are like to play Big Carp on!
    As always you can expect the usual laughs and tongue and cheek that is always shown on the channel...just don't tell Korda! HA!

    Great to see more realistic priced rods being promoted, I have never owned expensive rods or reels , in fact all my tackle including alarms is well affordable to most and caught fish majority can only dream of.

      Yeah mate! I am the same bud! As you well know...a lot of modern day carp angling is trying to catch the Angler not the carp 🤣🙈

    Totally agree ,I moved to Canada in 97 bought a couple of the 13 Sk 3.5 tc rods about 6 years ago and love them although I have them paired with the Shimano big bait runner xlc,s which I also love, I bought the Vader rod as a back up and the Vader reel which I haven’t used yet although my initial impression of the reel isn’t great but I buy a lot of Sonik gear .

    I had these rods for about the same time....they were probably the best 12ft rods I've ever used, had fish to 33lb (sturgeon) on em...paired with the Daiwa Crosscast 45 QD reels, they were Awsome.

    I have the same rods and I’m happy with them. With practice I can now fish at a fair distance 27wraps with a solid bag and 32 with a single hook bait on a ronnie. They’re great rods if on a tight budget 😉
    (I also lost a finger stall on a cast 😂)

      Yes Peter! 💪 yeah it's hard to fault them really for the price tag! Pahaha don't get me started about those silly one finger finger stalls....straps all the way now 🤣🎣

      No problem Trev mate 🎣💪 honestly I think it would be a struggle finding any other rod of the same quality for the price tag! You will get a chunk on them eventually 🎣💪

      @@ChunksterFishing my PB is 22lb I've had a good number of fish over that in Europe, upto 37lb. 100's of doubles in the UK but only 1 over the 20lb mark? This is the year! I thought I did it last week! Caught a real fat common but it was 18lb 4 doh 😄 cheers fella! 🎣🐟👍

    Nice good honest review, i nearly brought the 10ft corks as they looked really good for the price compare to some other brands at the same budget, i can't say the same for the reels as ive tried those and they are awful, i ended up finding a decent deal on 3 10ft tx2's paired with black widow 25a reels with trakker bag for 150 they was only used once so i couldnt pass on it.

    • @ChunksterFishing
      @ChunksterFishing  3 месяца назад

      Cheers mate! Yeah mate have to admit the Reels aren't much good at all ! But the rods 100% is their strength! 🎣💪

    Fantastic review Tom, no bullshit just an honest assessment 👏🏻 If you can’t break one on a cast, what chance does a little weasel like me stand? Out of curiosity, what size leads do you use for those big 30 wrap chucks?

    • @ChunksterFishing
      @ChunksterFishing  3 месяца назад +1

      Cheers Dan lad! 💪👍 I use 4oz leads mate...distance one's...I don't bother with any shock leader just straight 15lb mono and it seems to deal with the 4oz leads just fine 👍🎣
