at :46 you can see clearly that the seal is already broken and the razor slides through the already cut tape with no resistance. if you didn't see it prior to cutting, you'd sure as hell sense the lack of pressure as you cut. scammers for sure. How anyone could still break with these guys.
Dss cards is local to me. He's a really good guy unlike a lot of greedy breakers. He reimbursed everyone in the break and thankfully was refunded for the box from who he bought it from.

Because he ran a more expensive box apparently, and some teams weren’t as good in that since it was a different year. So he let people request refunds based on if they hit or not
Those NT case seals were so obviously cut…it’s hard to imagine you wouldn’t notice the total lack of sticker/seal resistance to the box knife blade. 🙄 I loathe the current state of the card collecting hobby. I got back into card collecting in late 2012, and over the course of the last decade-the “fun” has just about been completely siphoned out of the hobby. From the ridiculously inflated hobby/retail product prices, to shady breakers, and nausea inducing retail product scalpers.
Retail breakers being used in the video is the worst part of it. The fact that someone can and will go into a retail store and clear the shelves for profit kills it for everyone.
The pandemic parasites ruined the Hobby 4 me & I can't trust anyone anymore. !!!

Given Platinum's track record, I'm not so sure this wasn't an inside job. Typiclly in those NT cases, there's one box that has the "case hit" (ie qb rpa). There's also typically a pattern as to where they place said box in the case. The outer case seal is easily faked/taped over. Used to break with them quite a bit, haven't since the Fields scam. Just my $.02

Imagine a market where collectors could actually easily access packs to buy like the old days. This breaker shit is just ridiculous. I’m sick and tired of spending 80-150 on breaks walking away with junk. I’d rather just buy packs. Screw these breakers. There’s only a couple breakers I care for but man the hobby needs to shift
Buy your own hobby boxes. 150 bucks you’re spending. Save for a few weeks & buy your own. The shop in the Tampa Bay Area where I go is the cheapest & they ship anywhere in the US

That second one was a lot more realistic of the reaction somebody would have if they actually got scammed. The one with platinum, I don't understand how somebody doesn't notice the first piece of tape was already cut when he got into the box. And then the reaction of all of them is to just laugh it off like it's a joke? People don't laugh like that when they're actually getting screwed.
How about the scam that was the nationals silver packs?!? Paid $120 for 3 packs and pulled 6 commons! Yet when you watched the breakers, they pulled rookies and autos in every pack!

Don’t mess with breakers I want to open the cards myself, retail needs to start carrying stuff again or make it accessible for people trying to get in the hobby if they want this thing to grow again. As for these scammers screwing people with fake sealed boxes people have to think smarter.

That is best part of the Hobby, I want 2 rip my own cards . The pandemic opened the door 2 shady people that only had $$ in their eyes. The joke is on them I started way B4 the pandemic & had access 2 anything I wanted.2011 was a great year to be a collector

I could see the tape was cut on the NT box. The breakers move too quickly and don't examine the boxes anymore.

We have a card shop in Lynchburg Va. and have been worried about how in the world we will be able to get product. We started getting the cold shoulder years ago from a couple of the big distributors that you mentioned and can not get anything... 50k order and can't get a box..hahaha.... this is killing us and I hope Fanatics helps the LCS or we are done.
There's a channel called packman I call him scamman his subscribers and commenters get scammed thinking their getting cards he's giving away but he takes their money citing shipping and handling fees.
I love a good, greedy, iconic, high end, well centered scam with a clean auto...... the bigger the crime ... the longer the time.
Its comical that people think that plastic with a brand logo on it can't be duplicated. Dudes be like look the plastic is still on it like plastic is invincible

I am a breaker but do not use distribution and break for a group of Patreon members at prices that don't really net me real profits. I do it because I like ripping. I'm OK with distro getting axed but I'm not OK with Fanatics costing lots of jobs of honest workers at those facilities along with LCS owners etc. Would you rather buy cards from a reputable LCS owner who used distro or from a $12/hour Lids associate in a mall - because that's exactly where Fanatics is taking this whole thing. You're new LCS is Lids, your new grading company is whomever they choose to buy out and you're force fed anything they want to serve you because, well, they have a monopoly. The antitrust suits have got to be coming at some point...

@@kodytaylor1846 That's the rub though. Box prices aren't going to go down. Look on the Fanatics site right now. Those prices are higher than Blowout and SCC. Fanatics is just going to take out the middle man and keep at the money to themselves. Make no mistake about it, "direct to consumer" will not mean lower pricing. It'll mean more Fanatics profits. And in the process, a lot of jobs and small businesses (LCSs that sell boxes and sealed wax via the distro network) are going to be lost. It sucks.

I have done breaks on platinum, and I like doing breaks with austin or D specifically. That nt box already had the sticker seal broke on it, and maybe the box inside looked like stickers may have already been broken. They try to open the cards to quickly, and its not necessary because they dont have breaks filled back to back, and theres time in between when they fill up. No need to mishandle cards, and not be careful with 1000s of dollars people pay to get in these breaks.

Rubin has said in interviews that he wants the distributors out. Fanatics will sell most product direct and online and run their own secondary market through StockX....

If GTS is out only means one thing direct sales to hobby shops from card company thus the fly by night box case breakers be gone as then the hobby shops will have more control on product prices and less competition for live breaking. Seeing the 2 video clips of the boxes being opened none show the plastic wrap being sliced and matter of fact the first box break seems it had been already opened and then slipped back on the box and was hidden from camera view. But what happened did they open an other box and was it same or it was set up to make buyers feel sad for them.
Im glad im out the hobby i went pretty strong, and made a profit. I just sold in 2020-21 as i pulled in breaks. I made profit, and I also quit after I sold my herberts in wek 5 of last football season. Ebay went to tihs all of a sudden non paying buyer comp scam happened every week were non paying buyers , didnt pay and then set ceiling for cards i was listing and then had a friend scoop em up because auctions go about 30-40% under comps. Once the first non paying buyer doesnt pay the 1st auction that goes 30% under comp on average. The item i m listing gets devalued and goes for 60-70% at auction under comp the next time i relist. ITs too much hassle as I dont need to sell cards on ebay its just a hobby. I just kinda rolled cash flow week to wek to buy cards or into breaks. I just dont want to be grouped with really bad scams and scammers. I used to sell drugs when i was alot younger . I have seen it all. I never put myself out there too far to get scammed because im that guy thats comin to get my money from you .

fck gts, they are part of the reason I don't break boxes anymore. They've been holding back products since 2019.
I hope I'm wrong but I don't see Fanatics helping out the LCS, they are in it for as much money as they can get. You will have to buy everything through them for a slight discount. GTS is only the start of the distributors that will be cut off. Shits about to get wild

I did a few cheap breaks. Fortunately broke even. I'm not ripping any new packs because you are just setting $$ on fire. Unless the off chance you pull a great card.

It was spoken about a few times at the National, how much pressure is on the staff at Goldin to secure a $10M sale before the SGC Mantle ends. There is a ton of ego on the line.
That box WAS NOT sealed. Took wrapper off then if you look at seal it is broken. Check it out again

They are destroying everything The same thing happened to me last week I stopped by CVS To get some fixodent for my Dentures and I got home and the box contained hemorrhoidal wart cream!!!! I'm tired of this bull poop!! I can still taste it in my mouth
I bought a bunch of $3 retail packs of Stadium Club at Target back in 2019; they were full of 2017 Topps commons. I wrote to Topps and they graciously sent me 2 random no-name autos!
Thats crazy, Golden takes 22% of final sale! no way in hell would i consider selling my card at Golden at this premium!! Golden took 1.5M from that deal! highway robbery!!

Nice video. Fanatics is doing the right thing, its like a fully profitable business was there for the taking. Topps products are a staple in hobby. They bought topps . and now the get to be biggest distributor of cards in the world at same time. Topps should of done this long ago and expanded. You might even have to become a chain hobby shop like mcdonalds but for cards. Fanatics will take over licenses in football and basketball , and be a full on monopoly in the hobby , and control everything.
Your autos are fake, your cards are trimmed and your factory sealed product has been sorted through.
Id really gotten into collecting cards again and within a matter of a few months I had people trying to scam me and getting ripped off on a card. Was a s**t show. Luckily it wasnt that much, but there is so much BS out there in this hobby i am shocked. Turned me off and i have not even gone thru my collection in over month, thats how sour of a taste i got from this experience and im too old to get hassled in such a manner as I was. Good luck to yall and maybe someday ill feel different but from collecting to grading to trading, so many rip off artists. Sad.
Some folks who were watching my videos know I was determined to finish my Maris and Cepeda collections, but i got scammed on Cepeda rookie and that was it.
Real talk, whenever you break something on here, the “breakers” use that content 24-48 hrs later, for there own content in the reels. Keep up the great work

If the 2021 QBs play well it will probably pick up, but if one or more start to bust it could soften things if it’s only the old QBs playing well
If you look at National Treasures box bottom seal is cut before on inside box take screen shots it's clear. The other guy could tell was stunned it looked perfect. Platinum was probably inside job. Never seen sealed box see seal on top of box. Outside seal cut also.
Im hopeful when Fans take over that they will stop breakers we the common forks of the hobby want to buy hobbyboxes.
Why can't you buy them now? They're in every LCS, online... If it's "they're too expensive" that's not gonna change with Fanatics in charge. Just go look at their site. They're more expensive than Steel City.

I wouldn’t recommend Jabs Family anything, especially the online auction, I won a Jasson Dominguez purple velocity auto and paid right away with PayPal credit and never received the card, he claims it went to the next highest bidder at 100, I called PayPal and he refunded the next day, I also emailed him 3 times, no response.
I think another time I won a wander auto at 330 when time ran out, but he took the higher bids after the auction ended, I swore never again until I seen the Dominguez auto
I watched an auction. Not only was his clueless crowd overpaying on lame lots, the finishes to each auction were truly sketch. I was surprised. For some reason you trust the name "Jabs Family" and there's something about his voice
Read up on his personal life/how he treats his family - Tier 1 scumbag whose wife left him mid-break, and he just kept on shilling (and he has legions of brainwashed sheeple lined up on Patreon to pay him for access to breaks and other worthless BS). I purchased brakes off eBay and got them on RUclips and never been burned one time have I won every time no but I won a couple times and I was it immediately shipped my product.

Wow all the greed in the Hobby does this surprise anyone, panini and topps ruined the what was once a Hobby industries. And a lot is due to breakers greed also. Paying 1 to 2 k for a single team. And getting nothing it just make me lol when I watch breaks and they get nothing.
