I saw this only had 1.3k views, so I ran to this video instead of giving someone else my time. Hoping your channel grows!
Thank you for the support!
@@MightyNetworks Just gave me new confidence... brainstorming about my podcast for the last 6 weeks. Thanks a lot since you just touched every point I needed (lot of people don't mention the hosting aspect of things).
Since this comment, your video literally gathered 30k more views! Many converted to suscribers I'm pretty sure!
😊😊😊😊😊@@MightyNetworks😊😊😂😂
This video taught me how crucial it is to plan my podcast episodes beforehand. Learning about choosing the right microphone was a real eye-opener, and the focus on organizing episodes in advance really made me think.
Glad you found it helpful!
Tom, thanks for a great informative video. I am in the beginning stage of creating a podcast to share my journey from kidney failure to kidney transplant. After watching your video, I feel confident to move forward. Keep up the great work. God bless you.
Best of luck :)

Hi, there! 🙋🏼♂️
This is my first visit to your channel and I have a question: have you been doing something to the colours in the video (like enhancing saturation etc.)?
I ask this because they look somehow un-natural to me - and that overall blue theme is really hard on my eyes. I tried reducing brightness of my screen almost to a minimum, but no success. 🤷🏼 Now, this is my first time actually WATCHING video, the first time I opened it I was doing something else, so I only listened to the audio - and I liked it really much! Your voice is very pleasant and "young"-sounding, and all the other audio is perfect. But, something about that blue is almost like red-hot poker to my eyes - and I never had this happened to me before. Otherwise - awesome video!
Why is it talk shows have wireless mics but podcasts have mic/boom stands. For looks?
Good theory! Probably depends on how stationary you are planning to be as well
Thank you !
Glad you found it helpful!
@@MightyNetworksThank you for your response. For some reason, I'm unable to see my messages after I post them and navigate away from the page. Could you please help me understand why this is happening?
Everyone seems to always recommend the Blue Yeti mics. How do they compare to the Sennheisers in quality of sound?
The Yetis are fine mics and have a lot of versatility because they have different pickup patterns. They used to be unquestionably great several years ago when there weren't many other options, but now there are A LOT of USB mic choices out there, and while the Yeti is still good, I personally don't think it's the best sounding option.
So much depends on your specific voice and environment though, there's really no right or wrong. Whatever your ears tell you sounds the best is the ay to go. 👍
Wish i could offer the podcast via mighty so the community can engage from the same place
You can embed audio files in your Mighty Network so it's easy to create a place for your audience to connect with each other.
Very useful! Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
I'm a lefty, too! Great video, Tom! Did I miss the memo on your new channel?
Thanks! This is Mighty's channel, but I like to help out with videos from time to time since Heather and I have used them for several years now.
We're a Tom fan
IDK Why your face and mannerisms makes me smile. I'm learning a lot to start my podcast BWA Podcast COMING SOON
Exciting!
I’m having equipment issues, I want to use my iPhone right now to start with, I got myself a decent shotgun mic, and adapter to make it work, but when I took it for a trial run, the microphone kills the speaker so I can’t hear anyone on video colabs, so any tips? How do I solve this issue
It depends on your mic and your adapter. Some mics have a headphone output, which is what you'd want to use for monitoring. Other mics don't, but there are some adapters that have headphone outputs built in and that could help too.
What do you record with? Your colored and quality of A1!
Thank you! my main camera is the Sony FX3 and I edit in Final Cut Pro.
Very informative, Thanks😊
What podcast are you thinking of starting?
about society and culture. I want to have discussions about "everything life" in hopes of helping someone improve. I want to reach people that feel stuck and passionate people that wants to improve, i started already(sort of) i got 2episodes and i struggled with the 2nd episode. i couldn't get it to upload. no i don't know what i'm doing but i'm willing to learn and start from somewhere@@MightyNetworks

Hello! Can you please tell which app is best for podcast for beginners? If I’m new and podcasting through my phone ? Kindly tell me which application is best in 2023. Thanks ❤😊
We've heard Anchor and Riverside are both worth checking out
The hardest part about recording is avoiding mouth clicks. I do everything, but they still show up, so it takes me FOREVER to go through the recording to find each one and remove it.
Depending on your software, you might be able to find a de-esser or de-clicker plugin that can help. 👍
I hope you read for some channel because you Have a very fluid voice
We agree :)
Hey thanks! This is such a nice compliment. 🙏
how does this connect to mighty
Many podcasters use Mighty to create communities around or adjacent to their shows!
Can you post the name of the USB microphone?
Sennheiser Profile!
❤❤❤
Glad you liked it
Will MN now allow us to upload audio files?
You can upload audio files now if you have your audio hosted somewhere -- I have mine on Dropbox -- and just share as a link. Hope that helps! I do it all the time.
That's right!
I watched this video because it was “11:11”minutes long
Spooky
now whats the suggestion for not becoming one of the masses of failed podcasts?
Everything is easier when you start with a community behind you... ;)
