Excellent stories! Like the animations a lot. A similar thing happened with my Grandpa, he flew as a Co-Pilot in B-25s and 24s later on. During one sortie they had a direct hit around the nose and cockpit. It partially scalped & temporarily blinded Grandpa due to the blood and oil spray. It took most of the pilots head away, killing him instantly and severely wounded his crewman in the nose of the plane. He could see enough to take control of the plane and then they gained altitude as he didn't think theyd make it back, maybe having to bail. None of the crew bailed. He managed to land it safely though his eyes were almost swollen shut but after some weeks, he was able to get back to it. He married Gran during the war and would send her lots of little pencil and pen sketches of the planes, his friends and things. They had a special party once on the base for the local families and such and he played the clarinet in a throw-together band. Thats where they met and had their first dance together. When I turned 28, I took Grandpa up after I passed from my flying lessons and first thing he did when sitting in the seat next to me was to stick up a photo of Gran that she gave him in 1943 as a keepsake.

The Animation level of detailing of war sequence Wow amazing B17 War Thunder sequence by Yarn Hub team 👏 Brillant work The quality of details are amazing
Absolutely phenomenal video as always guys! Thank you for sharing these amazing stories. Just one minor quibble with this video though. Earlier in the video you stated that engine number 1 was on fire and not functional and number three down with an oil leak yet in the sequence starting at around 8:45 you show engines number two and three out rather than one and three. Not a big deal as it really doesn’t detract from the story and it’s entirely possible that there was part of the story removed where engine one started up again while engine two went down but since I know you guys care about being as accurate as possible I thought I’d throw it out there. Still it’s an amazing video for an amazing story and I can’t imagine how you guys are able to pump out these near perfect videos week after week.
Man these Yarnhub videos give you the chance to set yourself in such a situation, the B-17 crews screaming and the realization that you are next is something you can’t experience in a normal documentary. Great job.
These stories are amazing to hear. My grandfather/Oupa was in ww2. He was in South African air force, bomber squadron, tail gunner. He lived until 92 years old. He lied about his age at 16/17 to enter the war. He went all the way to Egypt, France and Italy. Still have his medals and uniform today. The stories he told, I will remember till the day I die. He was and still is my hero...
Vossler: "Throw me out...I'm so much extra weight." His crewmates: "That's not gonna happen." Vossler (to himself): "Maybe, just maybe, we're all going to make it."
It's been a great 20 years. That hit me so deeply. And God allowed me to live for 23 years as a cop and 20 years as army. And these true heroes of WW2.

Your videos are so entertaining and are making us learn about the people who fought for our freedom. Thanks for this epic video ❤
Awesome video. My grandfather flew medium bombers, and I love seeing stories of WWII bomber crews.
Wouldn't say that War Thunder is the best route for bomber lovers to play. If the B-17 in this video was anything like the model in war thunder, it would have broken into a dozen pieces as soon as the first volley hit.
Thanks for commenting on my video and I love this video
When I was stationed at Keesler AFB, I worked in the Vosler building named in his honor. Amazing video once again!
where do you guys get these stories?! i always LOVE to watch a video of yours! and the graphics are also sooooo much better than it used to be. i'm very impressed every time and i love the stories, keep it up!
The Animation level of detailing of war sequence Wow amazing B17 War Thunder sequence by Yarn Hub team 👏 Brillant work The quality of details are amazing
You I love it when you make a new video thank you yarnhub
WW2 is a time where we had the most bravest soldiers in history
Man these Yarnhub videos give you the chance to set yourself in such a situation, the B-17 crews screaming and the realization that you are next is something you can’t experience in a normal documentary. Great job.
We need a behind the scenes video on how you do this
working on it
@@Yarnhub Great!
@@Yarnhub Woohoo!
Oh. My. Gosh. I've been waiting for this and you delivered. Thank you so much Yarnhub
I love it every time I see a new yarn hub video
These stories are amazing to hear. My grandfather/Oupa was in ww2. He was in South African air force, bomber squadron, tail gunner. He lived until 92 years old. He lied about his age at 16/17 to enter the war. He went all the way to Egypt, France and Italy. Still have his medals and uniform today. The stories he told, I will remember till the day I die. He was and still is my hero...
A great video featuring a great story and a phonmenal animated video.
I've been watching this channel for a long time. The animations and commentary keep getting better! Keep up the amazing work!
Unfortunate time to be sponsored by WT :'D
Vossler: "Throw me out...I'm so much extra weight."
His crewmates: "That's not gonna happen."
Vossler (to himself): "Maybe, just maybe, we're all going to make it."
What a day to be sponsored by war thunder
I’ve been watching ever since you’ve made 3D animations, and for the past year you’ve innovated so much it’s ridiculous and entertaining!

Bro really think he's Walter White. 💀
(Respect for him for saving his entire bomber crew.)
God Bless him a very brave man.....This is a amazing channel.....
Thanks from an Old Navy Flying Shoe🇺🇸 in my late 80's....
It's been a great 20 years. That hit me so deeply.
And God allowed me to live for 23 years as a cop and 20 years as army.
And these true heroes of WW2.
Just started my 19th year as a cop. Good to see fellow blue fam
I love the little details of the radio communications between the crew members.
