I love watching these guys and their content. Being able to make a true platform has been SO USEFUL, it really goes a long way not having to with the walls the regular hand drawn platforms have.
Nice I also submitted my stage too, can’t wait to see what fun and unique stages get chosen. I have high hopes for my stage, Spike Caverns, getting selected.
I've made like three stage builder maps: ladders only with lava placed below the spike blast zone but above the normal one (music is Snake Eater (Instrumental) of course), an actual normal stage themed after the Greenhorn Plains from Miitopia, and a stage that bounces around so jarringly yet consistently that jumping has you go spiraling either off into the sky or back into the stage
I’ve also made a stage that only allows kills with the spike blastzone, and on the stage it’s the only way to kill. I actually put the stage on the form to enter it in the tournament; I hope it gets selected, it my personal favorite stage in the game. It’s called “Spike Caverns”
@@Jeshjuan95 the ladders map still lets you kill off the side of course, I'm not a monster, it's just easier to kill with spikes (assuming your character has one that's not difficult to land like snake fair) That being said, what sets yours apart from other stages with the same concept?
@ My stage is aimed to find a common ground between the casuals and the competitive players having aspects that both types of players can enjoy. The lava walls can be fun for casuals to launch their opponents into; the competitive players can see the walls can be used as a recovery tool if intentionally drifted into. I’m not gonna mention every detail of my stage, but there is something for both casual and pro players to enjoy. Whether it be the cool stuff ya can pull off with platforms; or using items for some wack setups or traps, especially a certain Pokémon(Arceus)…. I never often see many stages that find a balance between the casual and pros, but those types of stage can add a lot of replay value imo, and that’s what makes stage builder so incredible. Side note: I haven’t re-uploaded my stage in months, and I don’t have my Switch at the moment to confirm if it’s still on Shared Content. The code I gave in the forms for stage submissions was from a friend on Monday. If anyone’s interested in playing on my stage(assuming it’s still there), ya can try entering my Switch username(Jeshjuan) and it should pop up.
@@Jeshjuan95 I mean, none of those but the lava walls were really details... the general stage layout being balanced and the fact that you can use items on the stage doesn't really set it apart from practically every other stage.
Gonna submit one too! Still unsure if it should be a more casual or competitive one though... But it will be one of these, if someone wanna check them beforehand. I'm so happy that the stage builder is actually good in this game and is even better than it was in brawl
Insane stuff! Keep it up
It’s been years since I made a custom stage but I’m 100% gonna submit something for this. Time to put my game design skills to the test!
I love Stage Builder. It's my favorite of all times.
It's a good time
I submitted a stage! Hope the tourney goes well
Thank you! I'll be reviewing the stages this Saturday and then I'll determine the winners by Tuesday
