Route 10 - Smash Ultimate
Good Egg Planet - Super Mario Galaxy

Had a few audio hiccups because I lost my laptop and had to record in my room right by my noisy window. Should be fixed next week.

Noobs blame the game.
Pros blame themselves.
Legends blame the opponent for being good.
All at once
gods blame the lag
Commies blame the bourgeois
@Ryan Vigil Americans blame the commies.
I blame lag
How to.... boy what does he not cover?!
Good job Banana Boy!
This comment sounds like it was written by Nintendo themselves
Stage Selection tips
"You should anazlyze maybe why that cloud dash attacked. Did he do it for (list A B and C he mentions)."
My brain:
"He attacked."
He dash attacked because he couldn’t beat the shit out of you without getting closer
He fast
@@danielobrien2998 The funny thing is that for Cloud, that is mostly true; he does have Blade Beam for some distance, however.
Also, noting “he can’t beat you without getting closer” is pretty good too because now you can do stuff like ranged fighting.
I followed these tips and now understand that when it comes to my Smash gameplay, I'm a complete idiot
Who even jumps into an f-smash 4 times in a row? Jesus Christ
That's just a proof that you are improving at the game.
ruclips.net/video/TX3qf1OpliU/видео.html Jimmy Falon does apparently... trust me your better than both ninja and him if that makes you feel better
@@andrewramsahai1627 Seeing Ninja play terribly actually makes me feel pretty good about myself
The same kind of guy who could stand still against Ike's Neutral B.

2:17 is a most wholesome chart worth memorizing. Once more, not merely Smash or fighting game advice, but life advice.
I really appreciate your content! I've learned so much about this game thanks to you!
Banana boy I’m going to my first local this weekend (by the time this comment is posted it’s Tuesday) I’ll take the advice your videos gave me to the tourney.
good luck random person!
Rembember to do some friendlies with random people, you can learn a lot from having your ass beaten from some random dude
Don’t be discouraged by going 0-2 or 1-2, since in all likelihood that’s what’s going to happen. Everyone starts at the bottom, but the only place you can go from there is up
good luck just saw this
hope u do well lol
Let us know how you do!
"bad players blame everything but themselves"
everyone that complains about pk fire:
No filler, just straight up 13 minutes of tips and content. Great stuff
Not gonna lie, light vs toast at frostbite was the most hype smash ultimate match ever
True, Fox and Yink are both hype characters, and the players make it awesome
Wow, Bananaboy showing a clip of Tony Pezzo at 0:31. The crossover of my 2 worlds!
The more Smash vids I watch, the more Juggleboy comments I find lol
Excellent video man. Guarantee that 99% of players will see instant improvements by just doing this
Just got a tripod off amazon and reviewed my first vod this morning! I've been going to my locals for 4 or 5 months now without much visible improvement, this seemed like the natural next step.
“Uploading past 10PM” and “Eating hot chip” are perfect
Ive learned so much from you! Thanks for all the tips! Recently won my first weekly. This video showed me I already have the right mentality analyzing my gameplay which is awesome! If only I could stop evading my taxes...
bannaboy you have helped me improve for forever and yesterday i got close to beating the top player at my tournaments secondarys with my secondary thank you so much

I watch your videos for two main reasons:
1. AMAZING CONTENT
2. I think you’re the best yoshi main youtuber (I’m also a yoshi main)
Best notification of the day so far. Thanks !
0:15 a flash of gray yoshi
Another banger helpful video as always . These are always exactly what I'm looking for and everything is so quality and well explained
Thanks RUclips for JUST NOW notifying me for this video
You have an angle of play that I can relate to. You can also break stuff down enough that I can get the most out of understanding. This is one aspect of the competitive scene I have struggled with for some... I can never seem to get the right kind grip when it boils down to analysing replays, I try to get advise and such only to be met with get good or no good. So, I thank you for giving a guidance.
People that use a defensive option after every attack
People that overcommit to combos and ledge guards
People that always use a meteor smash if their character has one
Just exposed 99% of quickplay
the other 1% is PK fire
Nice phantom forces reference slid in there 👀
I've been waiting for this video literally for months
thx for the video dude! ive been recently trying to analyze my own replays but didnt really know how to approach it. now i do :)
I'd like to know more about spot dodging. I never knew much about it until recently and still seldom use it. I know you don't really cover basic game mechanics but maybe there's a way to work it in some future video? Or if there's a vidoe already covering it, I'd like to see that.
@@Wooly4 This actually makes so much sense now it's like neutral air dodging but like... ON THE GROUND... thank you so much for helping me have this epiphany.
Well, if you say, have a habit of rolling instead of spot dodging, I’d heavily suggest that habit goes away, because spot dodging (on most of, if not all characters), is basically a risk/reward gambit. Spot dodges give you more invincibility frames than a roll, and you get to maintain your positioning on the stage, which is really good if you have stage control. It also allows for easier punishes on things like grabs, smash attacks, laggy aerials, command grabs, projectiles at close range, etc. Spot dodges are usually more useful than rolls despite appearing like a more dangerous option, as a lot of high level players are conditioned to punish panic rolling options to get out of a bind. Though it’s useful, sometimes you might want to roll away or jump instead because some multihit moves like Cloud f-smash or Roy side-b or Bowser up-b are really good at punishing spot dodges but not so much at punishing rolls.
-Assuming you, didn’t already figure this information out lol-
I- I literally was just wondering how to analyze my matches and this popped up. 😵😵😵
You’re phone listens to you. It knows
This is the exact video I’ve needed
Frame 1 Jab? No
Frame 0.5 Video Hype
The main reason I have a habit of ledge jump nairing is because I wanna hit the hydrant. God damn you hydrant!
Thank you for your content! I picked up smash recently and your videos are helping me a lot. I really want tips for acting from thinking instead of instincts. Most of the time I play out of Muscle memory or pure instincts and i know its the worng way of playing, but with a such high pace game I just don't have the time to think so I act in random acts. I don't know if you have made a video about it, but even if not it's okay and I will be glad if you will comment me with some tips :)
I come to these videos when I'm frustrated with my suckiness, then I get discouraged seeing how much work and thinking and practicing is required to get good. God, I'm so lame.
I was just watching replays to make my Project M luigi better
Is the meta and the scene for PM still alive?
@@youngrenegademusic4639
Sort of, some tournaments and people (such as myself) still use Project M instead of Project +
Project + is kinda like an update to PM
i thought of a yoshi main that thinks but you've showed me just that
Me who recorded every game of vs NPC matches I've played since getting and playing the game and running out of space (constantly): 💀
Right in the knick of time I was just thinking about this
Honestly, I think there is a lack of analysis content in Smash. I played Starcraft II before Smash, and really enjoyed the replay analysis of Day9 and recently PiG, it was really enlightening and entertaining. If a good Smash youtuber did that regularly, it would be awesome.
No one plays a perfect game
Poppit 1: hold my drink
i should use spotdodge more than rolling and shielding.
Same here
I always get frabbed
My bad habit is rolling back when whiffing an attack
So does BananaBoy, lol.
DekuShrub 99 I also play a bit of yoshi
Nice, very useful
Roy main here. The punish depends on where you are I believe. If you are next to ledge, I would punish with up-airs cuz it forces them to get away.. But the Nair also works at ledge and the middle.
Not just this video but many others have helped me a lot thanks! Also I play dk and Kochi
A common theme in your videos is that playing against people around your skill level is the best way to get better. Unfortunately, I feel like I am far below my friend group in terms of skill in this game. For instance, I have lost 57 of my last 60 games with friends, and the 3 I won were because I got lucky with my friends SD'ing or being distracted by conversations mid-game. What should I do?
Thank u bananan boy
"As long as you practice something, you will get better" Gee, that sure would be nice... If you're not me with my... Reverse talent...
Better than maining 1 op character (*cough* ganon mains)
1:58 pahntom forces in a pf video??? yay finally some light getting shined on smol games :>
lets go banana boy
Bananaboy could you cover footsies next? When you analysed the match i had no idea what was going on
0:46 how do you even do that to a switch it's like it's too rough of a break to have been done with tools but it's to smooth to have been done on someone's knee
To take it a step further, those parts are from two different Switches. Putting them together along the line wouldn't line them up.
This is what you took in from the vid 🤔
@@RagdollArtwork yeah wait a second. Was the one on the left sanded down or did they just drop kick two switches
@@RagdollArtwork No I think they are the same switch, there's just a bunch of pieces missing due to the way it broke/shattered.
@rubystar just saying that isn't convincing at all, you should try backing it up with some reason or logic
OH MY GOD THANK YOU
i would like to say about roy, dthrow > fair is not true, just for your reference because i noticed it in the video, and i’m not exactly sure that nair works in replacement of fair
The one thing I admit I'm bad at still is accepting unsolicited criticism. Though to be fair, I have reasoning for this - oftentimes I find the criticism of random tournament players doesn't take into account what I was attempting or the mindset behind it. This isn't always the case, but I often find that they have an opinion on how they'd use the character that I disagree with. Generally for me, it helps me more if a person asks WHY I did something and works their thoughts around that rather than just saying that I did a bad and leaving it at that.
Wow, bowser as an egg is a huge egg
Can you make “How to recover from a Slump.” video or “How to be consistent.” or something please? I have trouble with this.
Cool could you please do a stage selection and banning video
7:18 yeah either that or back hit upair first then get more damage afterwards
Let's go Nannerman
All my replays are against CPUs since they are the only challenge I got... By the way, I might take this example for a magazine I'm doing of Smash related content for a college project and some of your other vids, going to give you the credit ofcourse.
Or the ultimate way to analyze your matches. Just be aware of everything that's going on while you do it :)
Thank you so much
Hey all. I understand every situation perfectly
Almost took a set from the best player in my region at a weekly

Hello fellow egg mains
I have so many replays saved and never look at them ty
This video must be an absolute joke.
Just YESTERDAY I considered commenting on your latest video to make a "how to analyse" breakdown. Can you read minds?
OH SHIT PHANTOM FORCES YES
This probably explains why I'm not improving as fast as I'd like: I never make replays in the first place, much less watch them. I almost never play online because I find it too stressful, and at local tournaments, it's always on other people's consoles, and we don't have streaming facilities.
If you want someone to play in a room with I have the same problem. Im a tax evading dino if that matters.
I'd be down for some practice as well if you guys want
Can you do a "how to actually tech"?
Maybe I'm just looking at things wrong, but I feel like your approach may be a bit too results biased. It's extremely important to realize that just because something works, doesn't mean it was a good play, and just because something doesn't work, doesn't mean it was a bad play. Smash always has lots of 50-50s or more complex mixed strategies, and while you can definitely make plays that are generically good or bad for a given situation, outside of combos there's usually a lot more to it than that. I think you may take this into account to some degree (in your example vod you bring up a case where you made a mistake that ended up well for you), but I think it should be emphasized a LOT more. That said, looking at where things go wrong is often a good place to start, since bad decisions will naturally lead into worse outcomes a lot more often.
3:34 I need that wallpaper.
i have that same pencil at 6:12
Would it also be good to have other people watch the replay to get their criticism?
At 2:08 whoever said that I’d just like a talk. (*coughs* Ganon is bottom 3)
1:17 Zaan Koku na Tenshi no Yo oni
there is a random gray yoshi at exactly 15 secs in
Banana, do you have any tips to applying your improvements in a match? I find myself knowing how I need to improve (spacing aerials, not shield grabbing, and more Up Bs oos) and doing them in practice mode, and then when I fight someone I go into autopilot and do my bad approaches.
this would be easier if i could re-wind in the replay.
Can you talk about over extending/over committing :)
I pk fired a bayonetta 8 times in a row offstage
How do you know your habit is fixed and it time to work on another one?
Can you make a guide on how to use all of Yoshi's moves. Unless we are talking about 🥚roll
My conclusion from replays: Byleth is OP
Is there ever a good time to use Rollout as yoshi
No
Me doing this made me realize that I am an idiot. I checked a replay I took and I walked right into like six forward smashes in one match.
Banana boy how can I predict the opponent and if I predict wrong what do I do
I don't have an sd card reader on my laptop, how can I export my replays there without it?
1:57 bananaboy is pro roblox gamer
What happens if a person spams a move
any opponent born after 1993 can’t combo... all they know is airdodging , charge they forward smash, mash, be game & watch , eat hot chip & lose
please tell me this is a joke
Cengiz W [Fart Poop Gamer] it is lol. I just noticed at 9:26 his phone says “eating hot chip”. This is the original btw “any female born after 1993 can’t cook... all they know is mcdonald’s , charge they phone, twerk, be bisexual , eat hot chip & lie”
Why wouldn't you eat hotchip? D:
@@ketchubb it makes you fat, which makes your hitbox bigger and your airdodge laggier.
