- In todays video we are back at the MF 1200 restoration project. All starts well and we get loads more painting done but unfortunately hit another pot hole! The engine is in trouble. We figure out what's wrong and what we do next!

Lads, there is a steel box section with 4 bolts on each side which crosses over the lift cover. Make sure this fitter first before the back end goes into the rear frame as you cant fit it with out cutting it, That is why your one was all cut up by previous bodger.
Father Phil has forgotten more than I’ll ever hope to learn about mechanics. The man’s a walking encyclopedic genius.

Fair play to you all, that tractor was some undertaking on its own never mind doing slurry and everything else at the same time
You have missed the trunnion assembly. Given the unit us stripped, overhaul of the trunnion assembly is a necessity to ensure the integrity of the bushes and seals.

There is an old adage with engines..... if you put power at the top i.e. refurbishing the cylinder head, you will soon knock the bottom of the engine out. So it's a good move to get the liners, bearings etc refurbished. Sound.

Honing cylinders with the pistons in situ is a botch job... where is the honed cabon going?
Good progress, unfortunate with the engine. Please work the tractor hard after its restored, they were built to work not to be looked at.
Phil, how did the insulation work on the door and ceilings, the 1200 is looking great. Thanks.
A word of advice, dont ever try pulling beet with a 1200. With the centre steering of the 1200 and the beet harvester steering itself it's a bit of a nightmare.
