I'm Canadian and I know quite a few people who are in the army and I've been finding myself drawn to these videos. Such heartfelt moments they are; including this one. This video made me laugh and tear up. Just the look on her face was absolutely priceless! LOL Welcome home soldier. :)
this is priceless,i always dream of surprising my kids, but i might not be able to bare leaving them for so long, congratulations to you still..i hope you're this happy everyday
I see pathetic trolls who sit in basements and are frustrated because their hands, blow up farm animals and sex toys have all rejected them are trying to get a raise out of a girl who wanted to share the love she has for her dad. I'm a dad with a daughter and it is something that is deeper than I think a mothers love as dads, real dads, are the one man in the girls life who love, accept and protect them more than anyone else ever could or will. It is a pure love that is indefinable. So to the douche bags who feel the need to troll such a video, sucks to be so pitiful that you hide behind a keyboard so you can try to get some sort of 'power-trip' over a stranger because you have no-one who gives a shit about you. :)
I just Love seeing this moments, it makes me smile and crie at the same time, congrats gorgeous and I hope that now a days you can see your father more often :)
I know exactly how that feels, I was a Marine and fought in Iraq... I can tell your dad feels like the whole thing is surreal. When I first came home from Iraq in 2005 I was out of it.... Awesome video
congratulations on your dads homecoming i know i am commenting late but my dad never made it home and im gald to see all the vets returning to their families.
your one of the lucky ones that get to see there father again, my uncle was killed in Iraq and my two little cousins don't get this anymore... and trust me its one of the hardest things hearing that they were killed :'(
Good video. Glad he made it back all in one piece. Hope y'all are well. P.S. You were sitting pretty close to a giant D-bag... but, I guess that's pretty much high school. And, if you are in some sort of theater group... yeah, there's always "those guys" around. Those kids that think that apathy makes them hipsters. They read "Catcher in the Rye", or one Ayn Rand book, along with their daily intake of South Park and by the time they are 18 they think they have the world figured out. :)
i was out of my country for 3 years for studying and when i im done with the college i came back home i told my mother to not tell me sister and when i came she was sleeping i knock the door she says ok mom come in and when i opened the door she jump on me and hugging me and she was crying . i was so happy
@senatorbrett If you meant the one in the jacket with the long hair, that was me, and actually, i was explaining to my friend who was next to me something and commenting how its nice to do something as sweet as the dad did, because he actually checked her out of school just after that if i remember right. I have family in different branches of the US military, so i know how much these men and women are under-appreciated ^^ thank you for caring about them too C:
not the place for that kind of comment. just be happy for her. no matter what you think about the armed forces, this is tender moment and comments like yours very greatly take away from that.
Some of the comments on here are disgusting. It's outrageous! These people fight to make the world a better place... If you wanna hate on anyone, hate on the people who sent them to war in the first place!
What do you fricking expect? You want him to hug her once and walk away after not seeing her for so long? He's not your father, you do not know how it feels to be reunited with him. Stop commenting if your just gonna be an ass-hole. She's damn lucky for her father to return after so long! My dad never came back when he was in the army.
That is so disrespectful... They hadn't seen each other for 15 months! He served for America... How could you be such an idiot. I would hug my dad like that if I hadn't seen him that long...
And you don't feel as strongly about a jihadi who blows up the iraqi girl's dad because he happened to be at that market place. I'm glad this one came home to his family!
@Kickass599 Sorry if I offended. It just appeared that the guy behind you was making a lude gesture after the teacher mentioned your father had been in Afganistan. I could be wrong. It happens a lot. :) Again, sorry if I offended anyone. I just get offended when I see people disrespect anyone in our military. The war wasn't their idea. Hope all is well.
You know why the other videos of this sort don't have a flamewar occurring? It is because those negative comments are just downvoted until they are hidden from view. Stop replying to them. You are feeding the trolls. I know it seems like you are giving up on something that means a lot to you, but all you are doing is starving an infection before it can take hold.
Excellent! Beautiful child with her Pops. Thanks for your service Pops! Stay safe and teach your beautiful girl well when you finally return for good.
