My husband just came across you video sailing from Sicily to Greece and after having watched a few, I can say that I am now so by your journeys in Great Circle to own a cat. The videography and music are also very good quality. My favourite sailing videos by far. Thank you for sharing your adventures and I look forward to your travels with Outremer.
Beautiful and palatial. However, for what you were looking for this time around...Your decision is totally justified. Looking forward to seeing the new (faster) Great Circle running laps around the Lagoon types!
I have always thought that something in the 50 foot range was the perfect liveaboard size and the Lagoon range has always appealed for it's load carrying and volume. The recent questions regarding bulkheads are certainly a worry and I wonder how this worry is being looked after by Lagoon. I always rely on what someone far smarter and experienced than I am said to me once and that is that a cruising sailor spends 75% of their time at anchor, 15% on short distances and 10% on long distance cruising so comfort and livability seem a top priority.
From what I've just seen, Lagoons answer to the bulkhead fix is a very slapdash answer. The various owners are not pleased with the fix, I wouldn't be surprised if there is some sort of class action lawsuit.
@@shanevillis4079 I think you may be right and if it does happen it is going to be huge, a retro repair would cost mega millions not to mention that sales must start to decline. All in all it's a bad place for Lagoon to be right now.

Yes probably for our circumnavigation the O55 is a better compromise, you never know for when we’re old and drinking cocktails in the Med 😎
Beautiful boat, great tour. Those cabins are stunning.
Wow stunning boat so much space

Knowing upfront what you’re going to do with the boat can’t be a bad thing before deciding which boat to choose 😎

@@shanevillis4079 as far as I know Lagoon already made an offer to the owners. Except for those boats which experienced a hurricane.
The name of the new boat is the same?
There is still balsa core on the whole lineup?
No idea. @nautischkwartierstavoren?
@@CatGreatcircle OK.
But what is this"
But what is this "autischkwartierstavoren" is stand for? I was in Amsterdam, but never in this area.)
Nautisch kwartier Stavoren was our Dutch Lagoon dealer, but somehow the @ reference to their RUclips username didn’t really work
@@CatGreatcircle Now I get it. The place looks beautiful by the way.)
If they offered a S version, it may be worth a look, as it is, no, not worth it.
For us that would help too as for this version you really need to have friends 🤣
This boat can not sail its only drive..
