For pities sake do not learn from these guys, they have poor risk analysis and do some highly inadvisable stuff which is why they lost their rudder in Fiji
Thank you for sharing all your adventures over the years. Time flies. I can still remember the period when you were thinking about the current boat and set up as if it were yesterday. Then an epic journey followed. With always beautiful recordings and editing. Wow. Thank you. You also say very nicely: with every end there is a new beginning. I look forward to your new adventures. Good luck. Warm greetings. Paul
Bravo and thanks for sharing your enthusiasm for the journey. As a serial boat buyer I love what you are doing. Keep up the good work. GLY is showing how to be the leader in recreational boat design, sales and most importantly the service. You have show this to be the case. I will guess Outremer 6osomething carbon fiber with an actual owners cabin with a walk around bed. For goodness sake’s stop butt scooting to get out of bed!😂
We were so excited to see your video with exciting updates. I did see pure joy in your face and as we’ve been following you and Marijke for several years, thrilled we’re in for many more pleasant years of travel! I’m sure your new home will be beautiful, look forward to hearing more from you both!
I, and so many others, have enjoyed your journey from the well before your Lagoon and onto the 55. Such a journey. Such an adventure. Such an amazing couple. Such a yacht. Such an amazing channel. Such a story. Such an amazing extended family you have now. Thanks so much for sharing. Just thank you. Dank ye wel
I bet you will be looking to more speed, space and comfort as main criteria for you next boat selection. There is not many builders that are currently offering such opportunities 😊 Gunboat 70 being too big for a couple but HH 60 or Balance 582 might be the next video subject unless you are considering a really floatting villa in the sea like Privilege 580 and that would surprise me. Anyway wait and see and many thanks for sharing such memorables experiences.
what a journey, I've seen all the videos up to this point, always professional, always interesting. I was in La Grande-Motte this year and last year and looked at various catamarans. When I see you I immediately get wanderlust...stay healthy and back at sea with a new boat, I will remain your fan!! Regard's Buggy
I follow along with Sailing Awen (Outremer 52), Holly and Stephane. They went on the hard in Trinidad for hurricane season in June. Maybe you could hit them up and collaborate with their channel too this winter. I think they'll splash in October again. Hit them up, they are pretty cool.
Really great to see you guys back! -- QUESTION -- One issue we are hung up on, is the "sail drive" vs "shaft drive" controversy. Given a choice, would you prefer to have a shaft drive if it was offered? How bad is the sail drive in your world circumnavigation? Is there any advantage to you as a sailor as I have heard that it is installed for the benefit of the builder not the user....?
A shaft drive is not an option in this category of catamarans but we didn’t have any issues with the saildrive nor was there anything significant on the other boats in the rally
Tsja de orca’s. Wel een dingetje. Brrr. Oh gaaf de bouw vordert gestaag daar. Uitzicht op lekkere bakker aan de overkant😉. Benieuwd naar jullie boot keuze. Enjoy life❣️
Thanks for have given us a great Journey Greatcircle. Loved you guy's and loved your boat. Good luck on your next adventures... And hope to see more of you on RUclips in the future. Have a good weekend....
That might be a problem as it isn’t our boat anymore from Monday 😎 I’ll be making footage on O52 Franny from Tuesday though sailing from Tangiers to Las Palmas …
Depreciation on our old boat was 0 and of course we will sell our beautiful old house as soon as the new one is finished. But it is a pity that the value of the old boat didn’t triple like the old house did 😇
My opinion best sailing channel on RUclips I've watched most of them you will learn stuff watching Cat thanks again guys.
For pities sake do not learn from these guys, they have poor risk analysis and do some highly inadvisable stuff which is why they lost their rudder in Fiji
🤣❤️
Thank you for the last 3 years. They were amazing! Looking forward to exciting things to come!🎉

Marijke will be able to step out of bed….perfect compromise without sacrificing the sailing characteristics

Wow! Fireworks for your birthday !
been traveling and missed several videos. Congrats on your voyage!
Congratulations on ending your journey. It was great watching you guys for the last few years. Will you look into all electric or hybrid boat next?
Sailing around the world it makes sense to have simple systems so there is local knowledge if you need it. So no, we haven’t considered that
Woohoo you guys sailing adventure will continue. Can’t wait to see what is your next Great Circle

thanks guys! from canada
I have enjoyed your circumnavigation enormously. One wish for your next round- make your videos in 4K!
What do you use to connect the B&G display to the LG monitor in your nav station? It looks perfect.
HDMI cable but the new plotters don’t have an hdmi out anymore 🙈 should be possible over WiFi as well
I enjoy all you vids, can't wait..Thanks
Good to hear from you. You make me curious what adventures you are longing for and why they are related to a sailing lifestyle.
Thanks for have given us a great Journey Greatcircle. Loved you guy's and loved your boat. Good luck on your next adventures... And hope to see more of you on RUclips in the future. Have a good weekend....
From your description, it sounds like Outremer is working on a 65 as successor to the 5X?
You might find a first glimpse of renders of the new boat in tomorrows video
Lisbon, lovely place
Will you be at the Annapolis Boat Show? It would be wonderful to see you guys again !
No, would be nice to go there once though.
Exciting to find out about the new boat.
We have chosen in the meantime and are still jumping up and down out of pure excitement, make sure to see the sneak preview in 2 weeks
@@CatGreatcircle To be honest, if I was you, I would still feel after three years very excited about the Outramar that you have.
@davidellis2021 we sold her already 5 years ago with delivery after the rally so that was a done deal. But wait until you see the new biat
@@CatGreatcircle 👍👍👍😁
Can't wait to know what will be your next boat ;-)
we did decide in the meantime...very exciting
First of all, get the carbon front element back! Looked so much better... btw, did the insurance pay?
They’ll install the new carbon cross next week
Will you be replacing the carbon parts that were destroyed in the crash.
Yes, next week
@@CatGreatcircle wondeful. Please make a video of that. Love to see that. Love from Uganda 🇺🇬
That might be a problem as it isn’t our boat anymore from Monday 😎 I’ll be making footage on O52 Franny from Tuesday though sailing from Tangiers to Las Palmas …
Selling your old boat. Buying a new 55 foot boat. Building a new house. Did you guys rob a bank or something?

Kanjers….
Do you need crew?
full carbon gunboat ...
