When I was 16 i watched Back Street with my Mom on a Saturday night when there were only 3 networks on TV. I became an instant fan and have remained so even now at 69. I have seen most of her movies. I really liked Stolen Hours and of course I Want To Live. She was so beautiful and so incredibly talented. We lost her to early. I hope she was able to have some happiness and peace in her life. In my opinion she never received the accolades she deserved.
Thank you for the nice overview of a few of the wonderful moments, in brief, of a woman, a Legend, a physically beautiful woman, who brought to the Silver Screen a deep love, excellence in actor roles, reaching Oscar proportions and reviews in multiple movies, plus venturing into Social, Political, Musical and simply a multi-layered life of grandeur, putting people first in all her works. She is my inspiration as I have loved every movie, and enjoyed her poise, her example, her striving to be better as she grew and blossomed like a beautiful flower and generated so much respect in the Movie Industry and us as viewers, beholding, one of the best actors ever !!!!!
Hollywood never sported a more gorgeous smile. Such a beautiful and talented actress. Strong without ever sacrificing her femininity ...like Crawford and Davis , Hayward was all woman.
As a child, during rhe 50's, I remember our family watching the Jane Froman Show in black & white. We loved when her story was made into a film, starring one of our favorite actresses, at the time... Susan Hayward. It became another family favorite, along with her other works. I felt somewhat validated, when I realized she still hadn't quite rid herself of her NY dialect... as I was working hard on my own NY pronunciations, then! (Lol!) Little did I know that one day I'd date a bright young man featured in that movie... when I moved to Hollywood in the 60's to study acting! I met Robert Easton there...who eventually became the most famous dialogue coach in the industry, sought after by the top studios, and who coached the biggest A-list stars in some of the greatest movies of all time! RIP, and thank you for the movie memories, Ms Hayward & RIP, dear Bob (I can do Standard American, well now) but still have a subtle, (yet noticable) NY "flavor" to my speech! Lol! 💕
Susan Hayward wasn't only a Huge movie icon not only in the u. s. a.but all over the 🌎 globe her beauty & talent went always hand in hand i never forget 1974 academy awards one year before she died she looked sooo beautiful as she did in her movie debut in 1937 (in spite of her fight against brain cancer)Charlton heston help her out to the stage &told her "easy girl" & she said; well this is the last time i will pull this out" & i still get schills every time i see the you tube video,a year later in april 1975 she passed away in Carrollton Georgia ,rip gorgeous red hair 👼 angel...
Buen trabajo! (4:34) Aquí, la talentosa y bella Susan Hayward aparece con el gran Tyrone Power en la película "Caravana hacia el sur". Excelente película. Me encanta. Gracias!
