Great review and nice pick up! I agree with you that I prefer the fully unmasked portrait, then the full mask portrait, and last the half/half. All three are fantastic though and in the absence of stands they way you have them displayed works. Would love to see him next to your other Predator statues. His armor definitely would be a stand out. I have the Ahab pre-ordered so I double checked the Prime 1 site and the second portrait comes with a stand luckily. Hope that means they are learning from the constructive criticisms.
Actually one question about the hair/dreads, do they have some give to them so you don't have to worry about them breaking? Also that base turned out much better than I was expecting.
Hey mate, yeah the hair dreads have a little flex in them so they don’t just snap if hit. It’s not bad the base, little simple inside but I guess what else can they do. Thanks
I will do a video next to the other predators so you can see. Ahab will be great! I was arguing the price of him early on but ended up doing payment plan and got over it lol Congrats on him, I think that will be one of the best, apart from the comic cover art one.
I dont know if its the camera, but the paintjob looks horrible for a 2k statue. The fabric on his waist has zero details, even a simple drybrush would have given it some nice effects. then the face is just the lazy Predator 1 paintjob, no unique looking paintjob at all. 3 heads, no headstand... The pose looks good, all the weapons and skulls are nice. I think the sculpt is also very good... Just the paintjob is horrible.
I’m not sure either but it deffinatly had a dull / aged effect on it, maybe to match the age or something idk. The headstand thing bothers me! Pose is great actually yes well said.

The brightness of the camera washes out a lot of the paint work. I have the same issue trying to photograph my paint jobs with indoor lighting.
