    Just got my set, very pleased with it and glad I watched this video. The instructions are *mostly* clear, but watching this really cleared up a handful of questions about gameplay. Thanks!

    My wife and I just played for the first time tonight. I bought the game after seeing lots of instagram ads for it, and it's really fun! She just got into watching F1 with me and this is a neat way for her to engage with the sport. Brilliant design, love the strategy and chance and the ways to add rules as we get familiar with the game. Great job! (The product design is really elegant as well)

    This morning I thought of an alternative to the "shunt" rule variation: If the Redline card played in a tie was played by the attacker, the attacker wins the challenge. I call it the "aggressive overtake" rule. However, if BOTH cars played a Redline in a tie, then proceed to the "shunt" rules, or a variant thereof (e.g. I don't like that trailing cars can get closer to the leader when there is a shunt in front of them, and some may not like the idea of cars retiring altogether). Here's how I imagine the result of a double-Redline aggressive challenge & defense. Die roll 1-2: Both cars go off; move each car back one empty space (defending car moves to where the attacker was). If there is another car or two directly behind the attacker, it keeps moving back until there is an empty space (basically waiting for a gap in traffic to rejoin the race). If there is no board space to do this, first move all cars up one space on the board (maybe you should start the cars with a couple spaces to spare for just this situation). Die roll 3: Attacker goes off; moves back to next empty space. Die roll 4: Defender goes off; moves back to next empty space (attacker does not move up the board however). Die roll 5: Defender wins challenge with no contact; no car movement. Die roll 6: Attacker wins challenge with no contact; cars swap places. Such double-Redline ties may be rare enough that it won't be too terribly frustrating that there's a 50% chance of losing ground to cars in front when it happens. Haven't had the opportunity to put this idea into practice yet, so some tweaking might be warranted. Try it and see how it goes!

    I will be pre ordering this game. I had a thought though. I understand that the die is only used for tie breaking in qualifing or accidents normally. I think another interesting way of using it would be tie's for the lead. You could call it a "braking roll" sort of simulating deep braking attempts for the lead on a corner. You could do high number low number or mabey odds or evens. I would (or will be when I get my copy) keep the rule of tie going to the car ahead for attempts on all other positions though. Just a thought. Looking foward getting my hands on this. Great job!

      You certainly could use the die for this very purpose. A little bit of uncertainty at the front might be a good thing. We also have the slipstream rule in the game variations where the tie goes to the racecar behind. We generally prefer, however, to reward the racecar in front for being aggressive in qualifying and during those first few laps.

      Thats one of the reasons this game is so appealing to me. Allot of room to sort of come up with "house rules" I am also a huge F1 fan. Especially the era that your game represents. The design is spot on. I had a couple questions though. One. About what time in August could I expect to get my copy if I l pre order?? The sooner the better I cant wait. Second. Will you be offering blank race cars for sale so one could customize their game? Thanks for the reply by the way.

      I expect I will get the pre-orders out about the same time as the Kickstarter fulfillment although the Kickstarter backers will be a priority. Until I approve the conformation sample I'm unable to know exactly the specific date. As for blank cars, you can order 3D prints at the LACORSA Shapeways shop.     On a side note: Before I watched this video I was of the impression that every player starts with an identical deck of cards. Which obviously changes the strategic gameplay a lot. Because that way you always know what the others have. I believe this has been said in the review video on the Kickstarter page. So which one is it: shuffling all cards or similar decks for all players?

      Sorry I didn't see this earlier Board Game Circus; you shuffle all of the cards before the deal. Of course, you probably should be counting the important cards during the race. 12's, Redline Cards and Extend Cards. This gives a driver a much better idea of which strategy to employ and when to attack.

    @ 14:20, the 4th place car has no one in front of him, and it’s their turn. If they have no extend cards, can they move up to the empty space by drawing a card, or does their turn stop because they don’t have a “extend” to move forward?

      The 4th placed car is effectively out of contention if it doesn't have an extend card. There are rule variations that allow a racecar in this position back into the race using the 'pitstop' or 'going wide' rule.       Cars are given points at the end of each race starting with first place. 9 points for first and then 6, 4, 3, 2, 1 counting back to the last place car. If there are only 4 cars in the race the count back is the same. Thus, 9, 6, 4, and 3. The goal is to finish a series of races (usually 7) with the most points. The tiebreaker is most victories and if it is still tied, then most second places. I hope that helps

      There is 1 red line card per player/race car. 1 in each suit. 1 suit is used for each race car in the race. Hay 1 tarjeta de línea roja por jugador / coche de carreras. 1 en cada palo. 1 traje se utiliza para cada coche de carreras en la carrera.
