Great video! Thanks for sharing. But you should always perform the last step which consists in placing the new key close to the start induction coil and pressing the ignition coil for 10 seconds. Sometimes the new key works without this step but sometimes it doesn't, so the best thing is to never skip any steps.
Good day, I purchase a Autel IM608 then i notice there was a more updated one witch is the IM608 pro 11 so i email to get a refun so i couod get the new one insted before they ship it off so they did give me the refun, so my question is before i make a mistake again, what is the difference with the IM608 11 and the IM608S 11 or is it the same machine with two different name?
Joe, can you address what may seem trivial too many? Key orientation. First I've seen holding prox in that position. Most lay it flat up against coil vs. perpendicular, but require multiple attempts to read. Your thoughts? Excellent vid as usual!
Love this video, its just what i was looking for. Im sure its the same process to program a key on a 528i with the otofixIM1 right? Looks very similar.
@jonathanromero8639 I did a test run on my 2015 F06 640i with CAS4+ using my OTTOFIX IM1 using this video earlier this evening. I tested up to the point of programming since I don’t have a blank fob yet & all the menus are exactly the same. It appears that the IM1 is capable of OBD programming just like the Autel. I used my IM1 with the included XP1 key programmer to program a new key for my 2008 E60 528xi with CAS3++ & it did it within 2 minutes! I followed a video for the Autel IM508 to do that one. So far the IM1 has been very impressive!!
I have a question about a remote. See if you could help me. If you don't mind, when you program a remote, why doesn't it beep when the keys in the car? Usually when you have the original it beeps and doesn't let it lock the car but aftermarket turns on the car unlocks the car
@@toiletclogger637 i always do via obd- if im gunna pull it anyways, i may as well try and see it if fails, if it does, i was gunna pull it out regardless, repairing it is easy

Did u hold the key to the coil and push the start button for 10sec ?

Good job 👏
Can for km 100 or not???
No
Where can i get a working key?
Cant wait till you brick the cas4 module and then start to panic because you cant fix it
joe isnt stupid- he has a repair video so its unlikely he'd panic. Maybe you would panic
He’s teaching the wanna be locksmiths the easy way so we get more work in the end ;)
The im608 can repair cas module on bench.
@@pouncerminned863 no I wouldn't put my self in a risky position. I'll take the extra 5 minutes it takes to pull the cas out and do it on bench
