Brigandine Visby | Spotlight

Our Visby Brigandine is based on a historical example which was found during the excavation of the Battle of Visby (1361). This battle saw a trained Danish army pitted against poorly equipped yeomen on the Swedish island of Gotland. The 1905 excavation of the battle site uncovered a mass grave and is notable for the quantity of bodies (~2000) and equipment located therein.
Our Visby Brigandine is constructed from canvas and durable wool to which steel plates are riveted. Other options include outfitting your brigandine with high-quality suede leather and/or plates made from tempered steel, stainless steel, or ultra-lightweight titanium.

My first brig was one of your Wisby brigs. I took an absolute beating in it as i was learning and was not a good fighter yet 😅. But it kept me very safe and unbroken, actually my first kit was almost all from you guys minus a few elements. All of that kit is still in use on my team and it still in good shape. MY greaves are still my brigandine greaves i got for you in 2019. They work well inside my eastern boots. I always put you guys on the list of suggested vendors.
