"NEW YORK - Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) railed against former President Trump’s hush money trial in remarks outside the Manhattan courthouse Tuesday, becoming the highest-ranking lawmaker to visit Trump in New York amid the ongoing legal proceedings.
Johnson - who appeared alongside Trump in the courthouse hallway before delivering a statement outside - slammed the case against the former president as “election interference,” arguing prosecutors are trying to keep him off the campaign trail amid his race against President Biden.
“This is the fifth week that President Trump has been in court for this sham of a trial. They are doing this intentionally to keep him here and keep him off of the campaign trail,” Johnson said. “And I think everybody in the country can see that for what it is.”"

The Biden administration is currently facing a complex set of circumstances when dealing with the Israel/Hamas conflict. Israel is a sovereign country and is asserting their right to defend their country as they see fit. The Biden administration has publicly expressed their displeasure with Israel’s Hamas terrorists extraction efforts-a step up from prior administrations during similar conflicts. However, punishing Israel by doing things such as withholding all arms and aid, might signal to Israel’s enemies a vulnerability that might make Israel susceptible to an attack. As a matter of fact, Iran has said they will strike Israel. Hezbollah is amassing at the Lebanese border waiting for an opportunity. The threat to Israel is very real and the Biden administration does not want to be seen abandoning an ally during these tense times. Additionally, maga republicans have brought forth a resolution to compel Biden to release the aid to Israel -a signal of what’s to come from having a contentious Congress.
So my question to Francesca (I know you all read these comments) is: Since you don’t think Biden “deserves” to be president because of another country’s war. How do you propose the Biden administration navigate the complexities of the issue as laid out above?
As stated, Republicans have just passed a bill to compel Biden to release arms to Israel. In thinking of the above proposal. Have you or others who feel as strongly as you claim, tried to take your thoughts to your congressional representative in an effort to actually present an idea to the Biden administration? I mean, that’s literally how you get your government to work for you.
Of course we all know the truth is that these people don’t really give two fks about the Palestinian people. They just want to feel important. I mean, I don’t see any promotion of aid organizations providing help to Palestinians in any of these videos. I don’t see any condemnation of Hamas who use their own people as human shields and suicide bombers. They are literally the reason this current war started. And of course, no actual proposals to Congress. Actions speak louder than words.
I’m guessing Francesca will justdouble down and up her criticism of Biden. Can’t be swayed by facts. That’ll show me. 😂 Francesca is right about one thing, though. People like her don’t deserve Biden as president. They deserve the alternative which is donald j trump and all the chaos and destruction that comes with that. As an independent, it is mostly Biden's foreign policy that turns me off. I'm not a fan of forever wars and nonstop droning. Gaza is just the latest tragedy. Biden, like his predecessors, is still pretending that we need to be in Syria, giving the Saudis weapons and logistical support to continue the oppression of Yemen, and Ukraine is still one of the biggest "woops, we did that" the US still hasn't come to accept (I'm not saying Russia isn't to blame for actually being the aggressor, but when we engaged in regime change after Ukraine's fair elections and continued militarizing the region we should of known this proxy war would occur.)
