About:
Drummer Robert “Spur” Searight and percussionist Nate Werth both have the gift of being able to seduce audiences of all generations. They do so with @GhostNoteOfficialProductions, the band (with a changeable iteration) that they created after both having been members of Snarky Puppy. As part of Michael League’s much-loved outfit, they would have discovered the key formula: percussive jazz with an infectious, Afro-funk groove; one that responds to the multicultural pulse of today’s world.
Even during the slower moments of this concert, where song intros are gradually built up through percussive moods, there is an underlying rhythm that you know will speed you into full-blown funk before long. It is a testament to the skill and energy of Seabright and Werth, along with their accomplices, that the audience never tires of their propulsive compositions. The experience offered by Ghost-Note is, in many ways, an all-consuming one. They heap it all in together - D’Angelo’s funk with the expressiveness of free jazz - leaving you feeling assaulted, satiated, and hungry for more.

The maturity and chemistry of this guys are unbelievable.
This is one of the best rhythm sections ever
Yo the way Xavier just murdered this whole set. Everyone is phenomenal but the sound and execution on the 🎹🎹 throughout! Filling up the middle, glueing the groove, solos, accents! Dude is mains and aux and solo all in one! The X-Man mvp!
Man how do they remember all these arrangements and accent points? Amazing and just fantastic playing!
I think the same thing all the time
They don't have to. They communicate and improvise in real time.
It's probably a little different each time they play.
Just playing over one chord
A looot of rehearsal before the show and years of playing music

@@derekskala6705 Know what ? YOU were the first one to inspire that since the Garcia's Performance, no shit 🙈
@@rnm723 never thought I would have inspired someone with those haha, I always made em so I could go back and study the different tunes. Glad I did though! Always good to see another ghost note superfan
@@derekskala6705 you know this is truly humbling. Very much appreciated 🙏🏿 Same to you, please continue doing these as well since there are so many other vids left in need ;)
Doing the lord’s work posting the timestamped setlist - thank you! Hot damn this is some funky stuff, I must’ve listened to it a few hundred times by now
Incredibly funky - like "old-style" with a very modern spice! Amazing musicianship! Congrats.
I discovered these guys as the “house band” for the Zildjian Live series on RUclips (featuring great guest drummers - Sput plays keyboards there. Mind boggling series). Then I found all their live shows on here with Sput on drums. Just ELECTRIFYING performances, every one of them. Now I’m hooked and can’t get enough. My new favorite band, but they’ve been around for years!
Prince would rock so hard with these dudes at his backing
By far one of the best Ghost Note show on the web! Superb gentleman.
Nate Werth is a beast.
36:55 Sput: "On the one!"
gave me cory wong flashbacks
Cory Wong totally didn't invent that, just sayin' It's been a Prince trademark cue, adapted from James Brown :)
Fantastic arangements and camera steering.
I’m super- impressed with the quality of both the audio recording as well as the superb camera work. You see Xavier play a quick chord, and you can very clearly HEAR it as well. The engineering on this is great. Bet it sounded superb at the concert itself.
Totally love you guys and this band. Please come and play in Cornwall. yo.
Bucket list stuff right here.
doing those keyboard and now he's on the drums, what a phoenix lol
48:13 I love how the audience is so clearly French
even my wedding ceremony is getting past-due tankyou very much Sir for the music you share into my life when I came out, still I handle to carry these music given by my God
38:56 those spicy little runs from Peter 😙
Jonathan‘s Swagism solo supressed by the engineer 😢
Great solo from Peter in Pace Maker 🔥
Deserves much more Attention !!!
I'm totally impressed. What a masterpiece.
That crowd was awesome
Extraordinaire !! ❤
That last song sounded like Soulive ;)
the clapping lol wow that is so awesome!!!
nobody's perfect as me the sport athletics in music 'Lets make the society great'
MAGICIANS !!!!!!!!
The thing about `"Swaggism" is that it isn't a "piece of music" as much as an attitude. I've heard about 6 different versions and there is nothing musical that connects them apart from one or two horn lines! But an attitude!! OY IS THERE ATTITUDE !!!
Love it, never heard of them before but it's cool, to me it's a hybrid of Latin Jazz and funk
Mono!❤❤❤❤
thankyou for the music Sir
masterpeice
55:25 - sax riff "stolen" from the live video version of Prince's "America". BUSTED lol
Man i wish this volume was up 😢

Anyone know the name of the guy who sang with them at Blue Note?

35:09 Peter 🤩
i need a mononeon finger cam
Sir how about my 220hectares land, will I get my part now?
Funky enough to bake a white boy move
....love it!! amazing jam band with complimenting styles...intricate synergizing fusion of rhythms and harmonies. There's just one guy, (just an observation), that always seems 'tight'...like stiff physically, as if he's holding his breath. lol....sorry brother, r...e...l...a...x....🙃💥✌🪘
