This is the best damn album I’ve ever heard. I’m floored. All the depression and stress from 2020 and the pandemic just washes away like dirty water down the drain...
Sublime, ethereal wonder. Owns you from the first note. So glad I didn't casually dismiss Corden's musical guest du nuit. Transports you to a better, SO much better place.
Tell me about it, I been so Despressed... Its blows my mind! But thankfully with the help of booze and weed I can put the blues on the Run. On the Fun Run! 😊
I had to come see what everyone else was saying about this song, because I am absolutely floored by it. She's captured her (and a lot of my) favorites from when we were young. The song starts out very early 70's folk singer, but blossoms into some funky later 70's soul with horn bits from her endeavor with David Byrne. She's nothing less than the best song writer out there right now.
I'm so happy that I've accidentally stumbled upon this gold. It's like all the goodness swirling into one smooth uniform colour via her vocal and then peppered with rainbow droplets of trumpets and backup singers. Amazing!
@@queennevercry13 All I Want, Help Me, Free Man In Paris, For The Roses, The Boho Dance, Little Green, Woodstock, Barangrill, Tin Angel, Both Sides Now.
Holy shit ! I saw her live at Radio City NYC last night and spent the morning trying to find out which song this was, it's fucking GORGEOUS. I can't believe how good that concert was.
Her music makes me feel like a delicate yet strong horned fairy goddess in her kingdom of red wine and dead leaves.... or like an LA girl struggling to pay rent so she took a catering job at what she never expected to end up being a “wolf of Wall Street” kind of party.
I can see Annie doing a medley of her songs from Strange Mercy and even teased from Love this Giant and culminating it all with this song. Just imagine✨
I wonder how much of your psyche is infused in each album's persona you take on. This album's lyrics seem like there is a lot of self reflection on your past, influences, and taking ownership of your faults and talents. The velvet melodies and muted layers of sounds seem to hug me while I listen, and I seem to melt into the songs.
Not getting what you need, am I thinking what everybody's thinking ?:) ... I can't help hearing (Fast) Slow Disco reminiscence :) At least I think that's what it reminds me - anyway this record is SO good. 2022 EU tour with Father John Misty? :D
@@voxtur__7 writing this under Annie Clark aka St. Vincent's song and channel just shows how you don't know anything about Annie Clark. Clark has been producing, writing, playing, engineering etc. her own work and songs since she got her first bedroom recording equipment back when she was like 12. Clark has been touring over 20 years and made seven full length albums. Your fave super privileged white straight cis male antonoff has absolute nothing to do with her career. He sure gets all the credit because well again he is white straight cis male. Clark is million times better songwriter, producer and multi instrumentalist than antonoff.
Lorde and St. Vincent are friends. So, it doesn’t surprise me Lorde heavily copied this. Annie probably had a hand in it. And they shared the same producer too.
The greatest Diva of all time makes all the booty shaking lip syncers look so weak. She may be one of the greatest rock stars we ever had. She's Everything. My name is Johnny and she sings to me.😍
Wow…um….I’m getting tired of his production as well. Probably because most of what I’ve consumed for the past year has just been his works….Folklore, Evermore, Fearless Vault Tracks, Norman Fucking Rockwell, Chemtrails…..
Airport radio does not play this song. I think it's because it would embarrass the Black auto tune droll. No matter the reason, we have to support a failed minority. Am I right? Yes I am.
Solar Power 😍
Lmfao knew I wasn't the only one thinking it.
they weren’t released that far apart either 💀 i like this one better
@@user-ib1is7ny7r NGL SAME LMAOOOO i love lorde but solar power sounds like a big fat copy and paste of this one

This is one of the most beautiful songs Annie has written. ❤

The horns in this freaking *rock*

Truth. Plus her voice sounds so lush. This song could be a Summer Number 1.
The horns took me back to Steely Dan.
I feel like I'm back in 1974 and it's absolutely groovy.....thanks Annie!
This one put me in tears so quickly. My favorite
I don't why I cry listening to this
I cry too. It's the melody which gets to me. It's one of the loveliest things she's done.
Rarely does a song leave me breathless. I am absolutely blown away by this. Holy fucking shit
I cry too.
I've been sobbing for 24 hours thanks to this incredible song, thanks Annie.
This sounds insanely like Joni Mitchell and I’m living for it
Exactly! It's so reminiscent of Court & Spark-era Joni.
Joni!!😊💕
I hear Pink Floyd Radiohead Joni Mitchell Amy Winehouse and a lot more in her music. She's just incredible
I'm so happy that I've accidentally stumbled upon this gold. It's like all the goodness swirling into one smooth uniform colour via her vocal and then peppered with rainbow droplets of trumpets and backup singers. Amazing!
Fully in love with this tune. Singing it to myself all day at work. Mm mm mm
Me too!!
I can't stop listening to this song. Beautiful...
What a powerful song.
The instrument arrangements on this are Killing me!!
Joni Mitchell vibes certainly awoo
Yeah I think I fits her super well for sure Joni vibes tho

Exquisite production and arrangement and when you're going to have a derivative melody it shimmers, as when here, it's derived from great ones!
Solar Power was inspired by this masterpiece
Just brilliant.
this goes the fak AWF 🔥🔥🔥
This album is so good it's fucking ridiculous. This song almost made me cry
If you play it on headphones you can hear those horns drift off so nice.....

The song that I'll keep listening to 🙈

Solar power sounds way too much like this, I'm sorry but Jack antonoff get it together

Poor him. He has been working his ears off for Lana, Taylor, Lorde, St Vincent and his band.

Second half of the song Solar power by Lorde sounds very similar to the second half of this song, even the wind instruments. Antonoff needs a hiatus
More like Kate Bush than Joni.
A hint of Janis Ian also.
Why is Jack Antonoff making the same song for two different artists
this sounds just like solar power from lord. omg . same chords and groove.
Pops Staples meets Lou Reed
