    Dear Julian, your training videos have been a big help to my game. Your "dance of golf" improved my back strain so that my back no longer hurts after a round of golf. Your lessons on driving, fairway woods and irons were excellent. Yesterday morning I watched your saw grip putting video during my cardio workout and then tried it on the course a few hours later. Big improvement in my putting! I am now consistently breaking 100 with your techniques. Thanks very much. Michael

    Hi Julian. I have been unable to make the finish as you have demonstrated throughout my entire golf life. I have always argued or tried to explain to myself that it is because I pitched ball in college or that it was genetic as my father had a sim8liar finish. But after watching your videos I believe one of the main causes is that I have always prided myself in “keeping my head down” which after watching your ideas have come to believe that is the cause. This is also evident when I come through the ball......I am off balanced. You demonstrated that perfectly. Every off season I always plan to work on my finishing my swing , once and for all. But never can. Thanks to your videos I think I now understand why. Much appreciated.

    • @JulianMellor
      @JulianMellor  3 года назад +1

      It’s never to late to change Peter, have fun making the change and hold your finish until the ball lands, too many benefits to list but trust me on this one. Your best golf is ahead of you once you get this right 😀

    Hi Julian as I age I find my balance deteriorating so having a balanced golf swing is looking more unlikely as time passes! Swinging on one foot to the other is very challenging as I am in my 70th year. Stay safe everyone as we have just come out of our second Covid 19 wave here in Melbourne after 3 month lock down in March and 2nd 4 month lock down from late July!

    • @JulianMellor
      @JulianMellor  3 года назад +1

      Hi Neil, it’s certainly been a tough year for the whole world and one that a lot of us wish to forget.
      With regards to your balance I have to disagree that it won’t get better, if you practise balance exercises and build up the tight muscles you can get better at it, I work on balance a lot and there for it gets easier to do, the easy option is to do nothing but the best option is to do something. You can do this Neil 😊

    swinging leg exercise: Hi Juilian - after turning 63 and now 68, my swing has gone to pot. Used to have a good modern swing but can't do it anymore. The easy swing is the way to go. Thank you Brian Sparks. RIP. Anyway, I'd like if you could explain why you can swing your leg with the head down on the backswing but not on the downswing/follow through. If you are symentrically around the sternum then backswing and "forward" swing should be semetrical. Unless you take things farther on the forward swing to an over the shoulder finish. Please explain. Cheers Daryl If I ever become rich, I would love to come and take a few lessons with you .

    I'm a senior golfer in my 70's right now and trying to coordinate all your drills. Is it OK to use light foam balls in the house or will that take away from feeling a real golf ball in your swing? It's cold here in New Jersey right now (18 Deg F) so the range is out of the question. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

    Great sound quality. Thanks.
    Thanks to your vids I am enjoying improved golf swing.
    Lots of work ahead but improving. Especially with irons up to 6. Hybrids and driver not as well. I think that club length is pushing me away from ball and a more around the body , old swing. I am trying for a more vertical relaxed swing. Should I choke down on club to maintain address that works well with iron?
    My driver is the big problem. I find myself reaching out for ball and swinging around body as the round progresses , reverting to old wing. Driver is 45.5”.
    I have started choking down +/- 1.5” with mixed results but improving.
    Your thoughts?
    Merry , merry Xmas , and thanks for all your help.

    • @JulianMellor
      @JulianMellor  3 года назад +1

      Hi Chuck, sounds like it’s an address issue rather than a swing plane issue. Stand tall with your arms relaxed on your chest, from there bend forward from your hip joint until the club hits the ground ( don’t move your arms off your chest ) once the club is on the ground then slightly soften your knees but don’t bend them. Where the club is is where the ball should be. Simple ( arms, hips and knees in that order ) should make a big difference. 😀
