Amazing how that place has changed. I went there on a whim like 14 or 15 years ago. I was on business in Ft Wayne and in those days I was getting a printed catalog from Sweetwater. Had some time to kill and decided to go visit the “Sweetwater store”. I had no idea that they were basically only mail order. 😂. They had a little showroom but it was super super tiny. What I always remembered was just how friendly they were to me. I was embarrassed for having shown up tonsee something that didn’t exist at the time. They were sooooo kind to me - they even offered to take me on a tour of their Warehouse. I declined because i felt so stupid and didn’t want to take up their time - but how they treated me stuck with me forever.
The retail area is no bigger than any other music store (GC, Sam Ash) , but they will send for anything they have in stock (which is huge!) for you to try out, which is awesome.
R.J. Ronquillo Yeah. That is pretty awesome. I’d love to have the run of the place for a week. When I was there the showroom was the size of my bedroom.
Best customer service in the world!!!! Totally impressed with their follow up phone calls and emails to make sure the gear I order is what I expected. Amazing staff!!!!
I just bought something from Sweetwater, I got two thank you phone calls and genuine customer service. No ONE else is on their level of customer service, no one. I hope to get there one day, its a long drive though for a day visit. Really cool video, loved the playing. It is pretty cool to see what goes into production for their demo's. Then to see your editing as well, I know its a lot of work, you all make it look so easy! Thanks for sharing your adventure with us!

thats so cool. I literally just visited sweetwater for the first time last Saturday. its very nice in there and picked up my first jhs pedal while I was there. I wish I lived closer to sweetwater but guitar center is usually more convenient cause its about a 45 minute drive compared to a 2 hour drive.

Excited to see any videos of you exploring the yamaha. I have the THR10 too and I love it as a practice amp. I've found if I max the "master" then adjust the gain to taste, I get the a great response from the amp. Very curious to see what you settings you come up with after playing with it for a while.
I love every video you make. You seem like a really kind and funny guy, so I like your vlogs. But I also always enjoy your style of guitarplaying so I watch every guitar or pedal demo you put out, just to hear your licks and riffs. Even if I’m not interested in the thing you are doing the demo of haha :D Could you maybe one time make a video of what you think a good setup to play bluesy pop (kind of john mayer) with for an affordable price? I have a cool strat that I like to use, but I am finding it hard to find a nice amp below €400/500. Also, I really enjoyed your video about the drum program for backing tracks, maybe you can talk a little bit more about creating riffs or backingtracks to learn soloing?

Is that Custom Deluxe Reverb your goto for these kinds of gigs? I just bought one of those (after being Marshall guy for forever; I wanted something smaller/lighter than a Bluesbreaker) Its a really great amp - the custom channel rocks. Its actually also my practice amp now since its so portable and sounds so great clean that I never play my little 4 watt Vox

Bruh .. last time I was day was lit.I was playing drums for 2 and 1/2 hours people cheering me up giving me probz out of people sitting in .. really love that place.... And then they had some fried chicken in their food area...bruh....I was good !!! I'ma hit them again.

Those Yamaha THR's are amazing. I picked one up years ago and use it way more than my tube amp. Also makes a great computer interface for recording.
I could get myself into a lot of trouble in there and worse yet, it's within driving distance of where I live.

I go to Gear Fest every year at Sweetwater. They are the best! I only buy from them. Their customer service is amazing.

Yeah it's my go-to grab and go combo. I used to have a Vibrolux Reverb reissue that i really liked in the early 2000's, so this is pretty close.
