I have watched several videos on sewing senator top, they don't show how they overlap the wo inches of the back panel over the front pnel. They simply do it without explaining how they did it. All I see is the finished work.

Why did you notch the neck pls? and when you wanted to join the shoulder what’s that stuff you were putting inside ?
He notched the neckline, so that it lays flat on the body when turned.

Thanks for this lovely video, but how do I measure the sleeve, so it becomes equal with the arm hole I have cut out, because when I sew the sleeve is always shorter than the armhole I cut
For adult, is it a constant 5” and for kids is it a constant 3”?
You have to join the front and back panels at the shoulder first. Then measure round the armhole area from front to back. Divide the answer by 2 and use it to cut your sleeve.
The secret is measuring the bodice directly, not just the measurement you had at first.
You were not lying when you said it can take a beginner 5 hours 😂😂😂
