Using hemming gum isn't a bad thing. However, you're using Ankara for illustration, which we know can be easily pressed.

No!!!!....Please keep your explaining as long as you feel necessary. Too much is never enough. Those who don't like so much information can always fast forward your videos. I like a lot of detail/information to help me understand and perfect a sewing technique. I enjoyed this tutorial and will be making a Senator using a silky fabric which I'm now confident I can cut, press, and apply the placket to.
