I Found A Room FULL Of CAMERAS!! GoPro POV Flea Market Camera Thrifting

- On the rare occasion I have a Sunday off, I sometimes like to take a trip to a local flea market where Jeff has his booth. While the booth is small, the selection of cameras he has is far from limited.
His shelves and crates are full to the brim with cameras, photographs, newspaper clippings and oddities from floor to ceiling - no amount of space taken for granted. Jeff is as friendly as they come, and if you visit his booth you will be sure to find quality conversation, at the very least.
I also took this as an opportunity to talk a little bit about my recent thrift pickups from the last week, as well as the grail I scored for myself on eBay.

Very much appreciated!
Such a neat flea market full of so many interesting knick knacks! You got yourself a very solid haul.
I'm fortunate to have such a place local to me, thank you for watching!
What a cool shop ! The owner seems such a nice person ! You really got some amazing cameras, that Canon Demi is definitely a dream camera of mine ! Cheers! ✨
I love going to browse his booth every few months, he's always got a new story for me to hear. Thanks for watching!
Thrifting is cool, keep on going.
I plan on it! Thanks for watching.
I bought an Oly 35RC for my mother in the mid 1970s. Its auto exposure was what she needed. The lens is better than average, but not much. The shutter is a piece of crap Oly-made thing, really cheap design it used on many of its low end models. A much better option to popular junk Oly cameras like the XA or MJU series. Haven't checked going prices, but it should be a fair buy in the range of $45-60. The only draw back today is lack of the correct voltage mercury batteries specified. The cheapest way to manage that is to use a modern 1.5 volt battery of correct size and slightly adjust the film speed setting to compensate of what would otherwise be exposure error. If you do not do that and shoot color negative film (most likely), the flexibility of the film will usually cover up the error. The camera can be modified internally to adapt to a modern battery, but the cost of doing so would exceed the value of the camera.
Konica auto s2 one of my favorites
I just grab the TC as my first film camera
Underrated channel. Keep up the chill content dude.
Glad you enjoyed it! Planning on more videos very soon.
Keep it coming bro. Love camera and radio thrifting
This is my spot! I go atleast once a month. Can confirm Jeff is a great dude.
where is this
Love camera thrifting. Last weekend was the best thrifting I've had for about a year. Some pretty cool cameras.
I love to hear that! Get anything good?
@@lanejpeg A Yashica Electro 35 GSN, Canon EOS ⁶⁶, Canon FL bellows. I also bought a Canon IX that uses APC film and EF lenses off of ebay.
@@shelliecarlson7015 sounds like an amazing haul - the Canon EF line of lenses are some of the best glass out there for the money. I love my Yashica E35GSN, I hope you enjoy yours, too.
Great video I'm extremely local to this place, I don't know why I've never heard of it...but will probably check it out next weekend
You absolutely should! A true gem.

Just discovered your channel. Great work buddy love your content. You deserve much more follower. Please keep going. Wish you all the best. I have a Olympus 35RC for myself. I love this camera. I costumized it because the film rewind thingy was missing. So I made one myself out of rosewood. Love the style and the look of these camera.
Thanks so much! Rangefinders are such cool little cameras, particularly the Olympus range. I'd love to see your Rosewood film rewind sometime!
Canon EE-17 half frame camera. One of the ultra half frames generally, and king of the Canons. Canon put excellent lenses in all of its few half frame models. This one is probably the best of all. This is an auto-exposure model, like most Canons. It can be shot with manual exposure, unlike most. The EE-17 seems to suffer a higher than average problem rate, mostly involving the metering. Mine is perfect, except that the film speed setting is stuck on ASA 100. I suspect that battery corrosion has jammed the mechanical workings, yet there is no corrosion in the battery compartment. This model of a whore to get opened up to work on, so mine sits unresolved for now. The missing coverings on his camera indicate that some amateur has rather crudely stripped them to try to open the body and make a DIY repair. I predict that it is a total loss.
I purchased myself a Demi EE17 with the intent to refinish it. It suffers from a similar problem - poor condition leatherette. My Olympus Pen EES-2 is another favorite but I honestly prefer the feel of the Canon.
@@lanejpeg I own both myself. The EES-2 represents a relatively primitive deign and build used in the Oly half frames, except for the Pen F. If you can get the EE-17 working properly, you will appreciate what time and money it took to set up.
Not King of the Canons. Excellent but no Canon L-1, VL-1, VT, VT Deluxe, P, or 7. Those are king of Canons!
The Olympus Pen non selenium metered cameras are king of 1/2 frame cameras. The Canon EE-17 is the best non-Olympus Pen 1/2 frame camera.
@@user-cd8ri1mc6s I’m happy to own one of each!
Super chill and cool video, you might want to lower the audio of your BG music, as it gets in the way of your dialogue and it gets a bit annoying over time.
Noted, thank you!
I cant go to places like this,if i did would have spent 100k in it😅
Where is this shop??
Connecticut, in the Hartford area.
