- After what was a bit of a rough start to my morning, I got my butt in gear and made my way to Mansfield Flea Market. This was my first experience there and I had high hopes when I arrived. Unfortunately, the weather didn't hold off as I would have liked so many vendors had already left by the time I got there. Nonetheless, a good spot and I plan to come back in the future.
I got some food and headed to another (indoor) flea market about 30 minutes away. This place was riiiiight up my alley - dimly lit, cluttered with hidden stuff, and in an industrial setting. I couldn't ask for much more.
Finally I made the decision to try one more stop for the day, so I drove over to Two Sisters, a familiar spot. I saw much of the same stuff as the last time I was there, however noticed a cool little Yashica rangefinder in the display case and I had to check it out.

Looked like the solenium light cell had been left exposed to the light and gone bad, the light meter wasn't working?
I think the shutter was just stuck through lack of use, it's surprising how quickly they loosen up with just a few clicks of the shutter!
I bought a Konica C35 automatic with a stuck shutter for £10 recently, took around 5 minutes of firing the shutter to free it up.👍

I've experienced the stuck shutter on other similar rangefinders, and also had success with freeing it just by winding and firing. The first time I fired the shutter it sounded like it wanted to work, but that was the most response I got out of it.
Additionally, the Konica C35 is a great camera, especially at that price! Great find!
