So far, I've never heard of anyone closer to me talking ill of the Brothers Gibb. At worst, one or two dismiss their disco years (which they weren't really all about disco), but they show respect for the rest of their output.
I never understood that. I always liked the Bee Gees. I first heard of them with the Staying Alive movie when I was a young teenager, and I never stopped liking them.
I didn't know until recently that they had been performing for a decade prior to that, and that they did many of the songs that I enjoyed already. I'm even a bigger fan than I already was.

I live in Redcliffe Queensland Australia and I am 74 years old. When I drive down Sutton St, I park and walk down the open aired arcade dedicated to the Bee Gees and there is never a day that someone is there reading about the group and taking photo of this much loved group. Sometimes when I see Barry singing by himself and he talks about his brothers I just don’t know how he gets the strength to not just totally break down. Such a beautiful story of the brothers and yet so sad at the same time. I adore the Bee Gees they are legends in my eyes.

This song is so pure and raw. Hard to describe what it does to me. Makes me feel a mix of happy, sad, and nostalgic. The harmonies give me goosebumps and my arm hair sticks up. The chilling lyrics makes a lump in my throat. Sad I was only 2 years old when this song came out, but luckily the Bee Gees spirit lives on.

I understand you! I was around 8 years old back in the days this song was playing in the radio. I used to spend a lot of my free time with my mom back, I was very very fortunate. I know the whole repertoire of the Bee Gees, and a lot of music from the 60's to the late 70's thanks to mom. I'm very fortunate to count with my mom's presence and love still now in my late 20's :)

You got that right...Robbins voice is remarkable. I've been listening to the Bee Gees since 1967 and the body of the work is almost without compare. And the morons who considered the Bee Gees to be a disco band have probably never heard much of what they've done. The Odessa lp was and remains one of my favorites and if I played a couple cuts from that lp, most of those "morons" wouldn't even know it was the Bee Gees and probably wouldn't believe it.

Truly, voices that will never be forgotten.
They are the best and my favorite. I was born in the 70's (1971) and a bit young to follow back then but remember them growing up and they always captivated me when I listened. I have many friends and many who have different tastes in music and genres but the one thing we all have in common are the Bee Gee's. We all love these guys!! When my mother was going through chemotherapy, she listened to Bee Gees songs pretty much everyday. Thank you for giving my mother something to comfort her. She's a lot better now.
