This was so useful! I've been going crazy with DaVinci Resolve because it is too hard! And after watching your video it only took me about 2 minutes to achieve a beautiful color correction with iMovie. Thanks!!
Thank you for that! I am just now beginning to get into the editing world with my videos and I believe I would get overwhelmed starting off if I went big and got one of the more advanced softwares before I even know how to use iMovie. I'll be using this to get my looks right starting today! Thank you and of course I subscribed. Keep it coming!
Glad you found it useful. And yeah, iMovie is a relatively powerful software to get started in. Start there and you'll know when you're ready for something more.
Hey thanks for watching. Someone else asked this as well. Here's what you need to do: "Once you have the look you want on the first clip "command + c" to copy the color correction, selected all the other clips you would like to apply it to. Then "option + command + v" to paste the effects to all the other clips."
Thank you! Learned alot in a short space of time. I have subscribed so I can watch more of your videos to learn how to edit my son's RUclips Channel. Appreciate this!
Thanks for watching. Unfortunately you can't use LUTS in iMovie. That might be reason to move over to FCPX. I also have some other reason to consider here: ruclips.net/video/Nx4cDi1N-VQ/видео.html
Hello boss, would love to know more about your studio lighting setup and what you use. If you care to share. Hoping to source some smaller lights to aid in ‘pieces to camera’ shots; looking to enhance the look of my upcoming videos. I don’t want to go down the full expense big lighting route at the moment. Hoping I can do a decent job with some smaller portable solutions. Appreciate any input. If you have existing videos on this sort of thing I’d be keen to view as well. Thanks in advance! 🤪👊
Hey thanks for watching. I do have a video about the lighting setup. However it’s not compact. It is budget friendly though. U can see that video here: ruclips.net/video/k6rehecniAE/видео.html. I’m also reviewing the Weelyte rb9 pocket lights soon. So stay tuned
Leo...thanks so much... im gonna go back & re-do a video that I did last year & killed playing with those sliders very badly.. great stuff & gives me hope now I dont need to get FCP to do basic videos
Awesome tutorial! You just gained a new subscriber :’) Can i please ask how you shoot such good tutorial videos? I mean which camera/video setup and how you get the rich color plus panoramic view on the edges I see in this video?
Hi thanks for watching. In this video I was using the Sony a6400 with the Sigma 16mm 1.4. For lighting you can check out this video I did here on the lighting setup I was using at the time: How To Light A RUclips Video For Cheap: Godox SL60W | Sony Mirrorless ruclips.net/video/k6rehecniAE/видео.html
Love the content you make bro. it’s helping me fully master iMovie before I move to a more advance program. The quality of my vids are getting better !
Great to hear! You can get a lot done in iMovie. It's a great starter program. And then eventually when there's something you can't do in iMovie you'll move onto a program like Final Cut Pro.
Broo.. this gold...good vibes too. you just describe me.. im in music tryna make it by with video on iMovie lol. new sub for u Edit: i saw a video about this that was almost 7 minutes... and it was kinda helpful... but your 3 minute video blew it out of the water. Thanks man
Hi thanks for watching. Once you have the look you want on the first clip "command + c" to copy the color correction, selected all the other clips you would like to apply it to. Then "option + command + v" to paste the effects to all the other clips.
Another helpful vid, thanks / new sub :) My main issue now with iMovie is: vignette. The canned vignette effect is not adjustable, and just too heavy. Any suggestions on achieving a more subtle vignette effect?
Hi thanks for watching and subbing. Yeah those effects in iMovie are basic and aren't adjustable. However you could make a custom image using keynote and then overlay it iMovie to get the look you're going for.
man thanks, I just made one of my recent videos much better. It is sad that I have just encountered your video, because I had to review each video segment in the timeline again which was kinda time consuming, but it was worth it!
Thanks for watching. The A roll from this video was shot with the Sony a6400. Most of the Broll is from the Sony RX100 VI. But these days I'm using the Sony A7Siii

Can you color correct all the clips with the same settings at one time? If so , how? Thanks
Hey thanks for watching. Someone else asked this as well. Here's what you need to do:

I can’t understand half the words your saying but I like your personality!
Not sure how to feel about this comment. Seems like a backhand compliment. But I'm not sure that was your intent.
Creative Tech Lab i can understand you and your all good! thank you, this is actually the only video that helped me so thanks
Thank you for a GREAT teaching video. I was wondering, is there LUT tables in Imovie or a way to import a LUT? Thank you, I am now a subscriber !

Thank you for you tutorial. i'm having to do this clips by clips, is it possible to copy the color grade setting and apply it to the rest of my clips?
Hi thanks for watching. Once you have the look you want on the first clip "command + c" to copy the color correction, selected all the other clips you would like to apply it to. Then "option + command + v" to paste the effects to all the other clips.
@@CreativeTechLab thanks a lot for answering this!. You've saved me so much time.
thank you for this video!
You're so welcome! Thank you for watching
is there a way to color grade all clips at the same time so you can have one flat look?
Thanks for watching. Yes, check out this video on how to apply the effect to multiple clips: ruclips.net/video/Qn_5YzJ94uo/видео.html
How do you get that cold blue background you have in this video so many youtubers use. Same steps as your tutorial or as that the camera setting?
Same steps as in the video should get you there. But also, shooting correctly in camera is a large part as well.
Hey, It Is somehow possible to copy adjustments from one clip to another? Or new clip needs always new adjustments? Thanks
Hi thanks for watching. Yes you can see a video we did on that here: ruclips.net/video/Qn_5YzJ94uo/видео.html

Sounds good
