Amazing video Brett! You perfectly responded to the question I had, that is to say "to what degree it creates the mist effect" and 1/8 as you explained is fantastic as I'm a fan of 1/4 and 1/8 is not too far from it. Did you notice any difference in the intensity of the mist effect depending on the rotation of the ring or is it a constant solid effect? Thanks a lot!

Yes if it is a bright day, but I would start experimenting with manual mode to get better images.

thank you for video
vnd filter's, especially with mist effect, don't replace nd
unfortunately due to effects on collors and lights it's something slightly another, some special style
if you have all day pack clear nd, might be you don't need vnd to replace it
however, if you have vnd mist, you will need nd set to get more natural and clear image

Yes, they will work for photos and video. With photos, they are great for long exposures with water. Or you could just use it for the mist look, which gives your images some nice character.

Someone said that using the Freewell VND Mist Filters there are some area in your footage that will get darker polarization than the others. He called it cross-polarization. It happens when you turn the dial to the highest numbers of both filters
