    Camping World installed a a/c unit on my Class A motorhome that I bought from them. When I got home the fan was hitting something so I called them up. First thing they said was you hit a tree branch on the way home this was before they ever even looked at it. So I got up there myself and found that they way overtightened the bolts that hold the a/c unit in place. Yup never went back to CW for service every again. The rumors were right

    Noooo, Camping World has one of the worst service complaints in the country. You know about dealer service problems with your motor home, Camping World is in the same league. Good luck.

    Those aren’t leveling jacks, they will not level your trailer on an uneven surface. They are stabilizing jacks which will only make the trailer feel a little more stable while you walk around on the inside. And stay away from Camping World!

    • @irritatedtraveler
      @irritatedtraveler  5 месяцев назад

    Ouch would not do business with Camping World .. unless you’re looking for bottom-line and never plan to take your rig back to any of their dealers.. lol .. Cougars are awesome yet what stopped us from purchasing was the floor vents and Cable Slides… I was looking at their 22mle. We purchased the Grand Design 22mle. Our compromise was the King Bed option and some other stuff; hope you feel better; knee issues suck …

    Avoid purchasing any RV either built or sold by a public shareholder company. Always buy and get service from family owned companies...More expensive up front but less
    disappointments in the future. Owner of multiple RV's and large boats.

    at some point you have to accept that %99 of rv/camping trailers are made with cheap material and low quality and if you still want one buy the one with the least amount of cheap bad quality materials.

    I know you already purchased a trailer, but I would encourage shoppers to NOT buy at Camping World. We bought our Forest River Ozark from them 3 years ago, and it has had so many problems- which is not the dealer's fault- but the service has been abysmal. I honestly believe the "techs" there have little training and no common sense. We had frequent "trailer brake disconnect"s from the first year, and they made numerous attempts to repair, even blaming my truck at one point. This year I got under the trailer and found the brake wires being crushed between the axle and frame. Cut back the damaged wires, re-routed and butt-spliced. Next time I took it in I told them and asked them to water-proof the connection, and they just wrapped electrical tape on them. I asked them to install a latch on the drawer to keep it from sliding out during travel, and they drove the wood screws through the drawer face, so the points were sticking out. Just two examples. And... the service managers and techs are always changing- must be no incentive to stay there.

    Don’t wLk, but run from CW! I won’t even buy TP from them. Terrible service, poor sales staff, and after sales service no. Existent. And, I really don’t understand what you two are actually looking for. I cannot see the two of you in some of the rigs you are looking at based on what you want. If you don’t want the bug class A any more why not look at the 35’ Tiffin / Newmars?

    • @irritatedtraveler
      @irritatedtraveler  5 месяцев назад

      Tiffin doesn't service Freightliner so getting repairs done on the engine/chassis is a complete nightmare and extremely expensive. Basically, we want to still travel a bit but we don't want to spend the money it takes to repair and maintain a class A. A travel trailer allows us to do our own repairs at a tenth of the cost and the places we plan on going, we won't be spending much time inside anyway. We just need a comfortable place to shower and sleep.

    • @michaelwaller6093
      @michaelwaller6093 5 месяцев назад

      I understand what you are saying. Fortunately, I have a Freightliner service center 2 miles from me so I can get my Tiffin in there when needed. Pickup and a TT are a lot simpler to deal with than MH's, but I sure like the comfort of the MH! Good luck on your quest.@@irritatedtraveler
