I am shocked at how little intelligence, creativity and fine game elements reduce table tennis as a game to the basic and uninspired thrashing of the ball. It looked like training exercises, where the end of the rally came to an end on the second or at the latest the third ball. Pure gymnastics without playfulness and recognizable individualism. The days of interesting and creative TT are over. It is clear that there are players like Waldner, Persson, Grubba, Kreanga, Samsonov, Kong Linhui, Wang Liqin, Ma Lin and others will never give again. Today play only robots (with a few exceptions). The fault for the negative development of this sport lies with the players, the more so with the officials, new materials (plastic ball) and strange rules of the game, which are constantly renewed and changed. Actually a shame for the beautiful sport. I don't like table tennis in the form.
Falck's mistake was that he looped Lin's serve several times to the same exact spot so Lin was already expecting that ball on his backhand. The one time Falck looped Lin's serve more towards the Lin's forehand he won the point. He should've repeated it more but he went back to Lin's backhand, and that's where he made the error.
@@jitparmar4459 you get replaced. for other countries if you lose you get encouragement and a pat on the back "you'll do better next time" For china you just disappear.
Wow that is so close! LGY finally conquers himself, and Mattias keeps outputing high-quality performance. Best respect to Mattias, he will be one of the top opponents for the Chinese team.
Glad to see another non Chinese player can play that top level, and Mattias will be a threat to Chinese players in the future. So, the games will be more fun to watch and more competitive!
AMAZING play by Falck here! Putting on the ropes one of the rising stars of Chinese national team is completely unexpected to anyone I guess... possibly even to himself! Vivid congratulations, let's hope Mattias will become a constant threat to Chinese players in the future
Mattias is so good and perfect!Hope to see other Swedish players as good as him!He gave Lin his hardest time ever! This way he will sure be the hardest danger to Chinese Players.
Well deserve win for LGY. But honestly Falck was so impressive this season that this was his chance to make an upset. The next time he would join in and play he would already be checked.
Why is he an idiot if he didnt mnow that. Maybe he doesnt remember every single event like you do abd maybe he has a social life unlike you haha. Although Falck did make a name for himself.
@@Betterdangaming definitely can't survive even a game with Ma Long. Ma long is too flexible in game. Lin gaoyuan play the same style over the match. Especially when he serve. Falck always know how to counter the serve easily.
firepower from both sides, fast and furious, good clutch performance by both lin and mattias neither gave up till the last point, first time seen this urgency from lin, good to see
Incredible match, falck has never ever played like that before. And Lin Gaoyuan was really stressed. I think this match is one of the biggest match for Mattias Falck and Lin Gaoyuan.
I have seen many games of Lin.G, he takes lot of faulty/net points at crucial moments. He is really good player but he can't be a great player until he work's hard to rectify these mistake's. But this match was really awesome.
In my personal opinion I see those tall guys always have disadvantages as often their opponents placed a lot of short balls to create attack opportunity... by the way, Mattias really play very well in this tournament and I trust Mattias would be able to enter into the world top 10 position very soon. A new bright star for the ITTF. Congrats!
For someone so tall, Mattias has incredible explosiveness at that distance from the table. Not easy to change between FH and BH so quickly when you're that close. The short pips really messed with LGY.
Lgy's problem is not just mental, consistency is also a big problem for him. he is making a lot of errors just because he wants to take the ball early and hit hard at the same time. Most of the points he lost are due to his own inconsistencies and falck just have to keep the ball on the table to beat lin. lin has high quality shots and he just needs a few shots to take down his opponent. I saw a few points where lin slowed down and brush the ball more and it was effective in taking down the opponent
Every time Mattias went far right for an opening loop to cross to the left corner, he got absolutely burned on the counter. Wonder if he would’ve made it through if he found an answer. Great effort.
Супер игра Фалка! Теперь он большая европейская надежда?) Наконец-то гениальный Персон решил поделиться своим талантом и на тренерский стезе! Что и Валднеру давно пора сделать.
Wow! Harimoto 2.0 xD Lin Gaoyuan was really... Ignited yesterday :o Congratulations to both: Mattias Falck played the best Table Tennis i've ever seen from him, and Lin Gaoyuan, as always performs amazingly. I'm looking forward to the final. :D

i watched this because i want to learn better how to play against short pimps on the fh since 2 of my club colleagues use to play it. What i can take from the match, is: place your pushes several times until you, as the normal rubber player, can can open up the rally with a topspin. Dont try to open to early, especially not against the pimple side. A bad topspin will get murdered by pimples. Maybe even open up more against the opponents normal ruber side since you will more likely get topspin back, which you're used to. Dont try to 'all out brawl' against the pimple player, that's exactly what he wants. Play tactial and find your spot from where you can loop, that makes the pimples player very hard to return. In this exact case here, it was the wide fh topspin from LGY to the wide fh of Falck. This was the hardest shot for Falck to return properly! Anyways gg and well played from both!
Despite the result this is the best Mattias I´ve ever seen. Congrats to his great weekend.
I think was better when playing with Harimoto.
Amazing.
This is not table tennis, but war on the table.

Omfg what a match!!!!!!! I was screaming really loud after every point. And WHAT A TOURNAMENT for Falck, simply magical!!
i'm your neighbor, calm down
This is a real high level game. The Swidish player is surprising.
LGY finally display good mental strength and grit... getting better... well done and congrats!
Nope he is chinas biggest chocker always loses when he is leading big almost lost this 10-7
@ losing 10-7 leads aren't that uncommon.
@ tell that to xu xin. He blew a 3 point lead against mizutani in the rio olympics
Sad that all I can do is click a Like to show my respect to this amazing game.
Falck played very good in this tournament, well done!
What an incredibly tense and high-class battle! Absolute world class
That’s so close!!! . Congrats to LGY.
Falck got burned with that serve coming off the side of the table. That was Lin’s go to. He re-looped that thing like there was no tomorrow

Perfect job Mattias and Lin.
Really glad to see LGY happy ;)
Congrats Lin.falck is superb and I love his playing style
I'm not gonna lie. These are both amazing players but I woulda much rather seen Matthias in the final.
But face it Matthias would've gotten slaughtered by ma long, although it would've been interesting to see his tactics

Incredible game!
What a match! Clash of the titans. Could go either way. Congrats to Gaoyuan.
I love the way Mattias plays...
