as a 6 year barista who's worked in several cafes and with hundreds of other baristas..... HOW is this the first time i've ever seen someone give advice on how to better fold your towels??? that's the best tip I've gotten in months

I was thinking the same thing about the squishy toy, always have, but then you illustrated perfectly and now I’m convinced we were right about that. So glad you didn’t shy away from that point. After 10 years of exp. that is just how i see espresso, just stick with the basics and trust your own taste.
Subscribed for the hint on flavour notes. THANK YOU! I kept trying all these different coffees that said "watermelon! peach! plum! jasmine! vanilla! chocolate!" and they all just tasted like different coffees to me, not like any of those other things! I thought maybe I could bring out those flavour notes if I got better at dialing in my espresso! Now I don't feel so bad that my espresso tastes like coffee. Thank you so much!

I’m currently a supervisor in ASM training at Starbucks, so a lot of my coffee knowledge is somewhat fast food-ized and not as detail-focused as a traditional café environment is. I picked up so many tips to bring to my team and I want to thank you for helping grow the art :)
SO MUCH #3. I literally discovered this by accident recently because I was tired of needing to find somewhere to brush off the top grinds into the bin. I then polish the puck with an OCD (JK, it's an imitation one that cost $80 less ) and finish with a tamp. Without the gentle bumping step, my pucks tend to do well but still end up overextracting towards the end of a pull unless I cut it short. Science is weird.
I've learnt more from you in 2 video's than all the other's. Thanks cheers 🍻

Problems with dialing in because you don‘t know what espresso‘s supposed to taste like sounds weird but it‘s the realest thing ever. There‘s so much info on ratios, brew time etc. that it‘s easy to forget to listen to your taste (and train it by drinking good coffee!)
Number 9 is so trueee. I used to think that there’s something wrong with my tastebuds because it didn’t taste to me as it was saying on the bag😅
