Best lines in the movie, in my opinion:
Reporter: "...destroying a 7 million dollar mini-mall to rescue a little girl whose ransom is only $25,000."
    Little Girl: "Fuck you, lady!"

It was made Right after the LA riots.
Not that unreasonable in that context.

It(like pretty much the whole movie) was probably more a joke at the craziness of 90s America rather than a serious prediction.
Personally, I watch Demolition Man as one big really well done parody of action movies, with a bit of political humor thrown in there.
And by thrown in there, I mean central to the premise.
I mean, even for 93, they couldn't have expected the audience to believe that a museum not only had a huge stockpile of active weapons, but they all happened to be loaded with live ammunition and unguarded as well.
Not to mention the entire opening scene with... well... barrels of C4.
If they really wanted a cheap way to blow up the building they could have just put "Explosive" or "Flammable" on the sides of the barrels, but instead they chose specifically C4, which does not detonate when exposed to flame.
This makes me think it was intentionally over the top.

That scene where Spartan realized he was a seamstress made me swear that Stallone had been briefly swapped for Jensen Ackles.

I welcome any and all content from this show, which I've enjoyed from the beginning.
But, I would respectfully request you accompany any new uploads with an 'Originally published on' date. I do understand that RUclips has made life difficult for practically everybody in the Reviewaverse, yet still feel that this small courtesy could help avoid misunderstanding and disappointment.
Sorry to be a passive-aggressive poopmonster. Only mean to make a recommendation, not a demand.

      No, thank YOU.
You've got a good show, and you've worked super hard on it. It hurt to be all complainy-pants about something so minor.
But, I hope it contributes to strengthening your 'brand', if you will pardon the marketese.

We're looking at a CLASSIC Stallone movie. When you say classic nobody thinks '90's. So of course they're gonna go back to the '70's with Rocky.

This film is part of a trope called "I Want My Jet Pack" which refers to films set in the future but the technology is far too advanced for how soon it takes place. In this case, a lot of the technology is very plausible for the timeframe indicated, however the economic and social development as well as the memory of older people strongly suggest that the date should be MUCH later than it is said to take place.

Since when was one race looking to exploit another race resources an idea and not reality ? You need to brush up on colonialism . The Cell dealt with dreams through technology before paprika and if you want to say Paprika was based on a 1993 novel then know that Dreamscape (1984) was a movie that dealt with the same Dream technology and implanting false ideas which was influenced by the novel The Dream Masters (1966) . 1983 movie Brainstorm,
The idea of being trapped into Virtual reality predates Ghost in the Shell in the west. Ghost in the Shell borrows from Blade Runner (1982) visual setting and Blade Runner was based on Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep novel (1968)
Before Matrix and Ghost in the Shell (1989) was novel Simulacron-3 (1964) ,Time out of Joint (1959), Alternate Reality video game (1985) by Philip Price and maybe most importantly Neuromancer (1984) Count zero (1986) and Mona Lisa Overdrive (1988) were works by William Gibson referred to as the Sprawl trilogy or Neuromancer , Cyberspace or Matrix trilogy which both Matrix (got it's name from including zion) and Ghost in the Shell share a lot of similarities with. Also Armitage (which was inspired by Dunwich horror ) and Appleseed (1985) (which inspired the look of Chappie 2015 movie) anime seem to be inspired by William Gibson Sprawl trilogy.
Battle Angle Alita resembles Freejack (1992) which is based on Immortality novel (1959)
Before Serial Experiment Lane and Transcendence was The Lawnmower Man movie (1992) , the same guy who made Virtuosity (1995)
Before Dot hack and Sword Art online was ReBoot (1994) and Arcade movie (1993) Dungeonmaster (1984) and Tron (1982)
Before Chobots and Her was a common boys virgin fantasy and sex toy creators dream. From greek Pygmalion to Frankinsteins bride . But in terms of media their was Electric Dreams movie (1984) , the huge amount of sex bots and cyborg sex slaves in western fiction predates anything from Japan . Like Blade Runner had a sex bot, Escape from Ds3 (1981), Circuitry man (1989) , Heavy metal (2000) , Weird Science (1985) , Millennium (1989) and the Mannequin (1987 and 1991) in a farfetched way.
