More then half of the room didn't know this song.. As a teachers it's our job to educate our students with great music... please do your job. I'm tired of seeing everyone dancing to the same bullshit songs just because they are racing for fame by trying to get more views... Where is the art?
Also, yes I always do the same moves its called "a style" that I master in. I will switch it up the day Britney Spears starts singing opera music and Barbra Steisand starts raping. Then I'll consider changing my moves... BITCH. But let me remind you that if you get bored watching my work well ....... You simply don't have to watch it and mostly I didn' ask for your opinion. At least I'm working while you are behind your computer giving unwanted opinions !!!!!!!

Bette Davis was a two time Academy Award actress and nominated 10 times. She worked in movies for about 50 years. Before Meryl Streep was Bette Davis. In the 80's the song "Bette Davis Eyes" won the Grammy Award for "Song of the Year". This is a beautiful and perfect choreography for this song. Just Beautiful! Congratulations guys!!!

I thought it was a classic :( I am surprised so many people in the class didn't know it (I know they are super young, but still) or that Yanis thinks it's not enough to get views. I actually liked the choreography in this one over some of the other videos i see here on youtube. I loved the change in pace and how some of the dancers were really elegant and graceful with the slower moves. Especially the young lady dancing solo at 2:02 and the one in the grey tank top starting at 3:03. Very talented and darn good group of dancers!

Yanis, I think it's awesome you get to introduce music from different time periods to your students. So it really made me smile when you did a choreo from music of my youth. "Bette Davis Eyes" is a classic. I definitely enjoy watching certain dancers, Stevie in particular, that really feel your style, too.

I don't usually comment on threads here, but I wanted to voice some support. Agreed about the music. Not only bring back some old stuff, but there is so much amazing new music coming out that is creative and brilliant that will never be "popular" and you have choreographed to that also. Also, the same with the criticism. We all have our style and niche. I am an artist- painting- and I know when people say that I should change up my style it really bothers me because I know that they just don't understand. I enjoy artists who change things up and I also enjoy artist who do what they do well. And you, Yanis, do what you do very, very well. Take no notice of those who don't understand.
