Harmison is the master of saying the same thing 6 times in 2 different ways
He is terrible
He is terrible, but Zaheer khan can do it in 8 different ways
@@swiggsoclock He is awful 😂, I like the Nasser and Athers channel though.
Struggles greatly with the English language
@@Blade14717isn't he English ?
Kimber said it perfectly in the nicest possible way 😅
Harmison shouldnt be anywhere near a mic
Bairstow will be remembered as a player who gave absolutely everything. He was barely fit in the 2023 Ashes but still gave his all, after an injury that would have ended careers of people with less bottle.
He was one of the most feared white ball openers between 2015 and 2021, who scored runs for fun at an astonishing rate. He was also one of the fastest fielders as a sweeper before his injury. I’ll never forget his 100 at 3 in Sri Lanka when he just exuded pure passion. As an England fan, I also think a team with Jonny in, is a team that also cares and will always fight to the fullest.
This is a fantastic series of discussions started. Keep continuing
For all the critics aimed at bairstow he was the only player who clawed back england from the 5th test against india when india hold the aces till lunch on 4th day. Without him the series would have been handed over to india and 3-1 scoreline the end result. Since the devastating injury he has played 10 test matches and almost scored a century with 99 on the fourth ashes test. Let us compare pope, crawley with him. After roughly 40 test matches both have the same average and test hundreds. Even stokes has the same average. I honestly believe that if bairstow is given the backing he will for sure come good. He was the only player who scored a match saving century in down under. Rob Key should be reminded of his contributions.
Bairstow has played over 100 matches and averages 30. He plays good innings but overall is poor. Stop being delusional
Steve Harmison is in La La Land
Who has made Harmison an expert? Even he not sure what he is talking
He has been part of a selfless and excellent white ball team for many years… by far England’s best ever white ball team… and second place isn’t even close. The teams always come first in this era which hasn’t always been the case, so thanks for your efforts and contributions Johnny.
Once you damage a leg like that, it's always a doubt in your mind and you never forget about it. I had a motorcycle accident and smashed my left leg to bits, this was eight years ago and even now, I don't trust it completely.
I first met Jonny when he was a 15 year old playing against my son's team. He was astonishingly talented, but a really unpleasant, mouthy individual. He was clearly devastated by his father's death and it affected him.
I met him about 6 years ago at York when I was playing there and he was watching and he was mature and pleasant.
He's probably one of England's greatest white ball players and a good test wicketkeeper batsman. He'd have been even better if England hadn't messed him about so much.
Where can i watch full episodes of these?
@@tricksbyumer i think you'll have to listen to talksport radio.
Bairstow would have had a much better record if England hadn't messed him about so much.
Bairstow is a very selfless player. He’s played here there and everywhere in the batting line up for the sake of the team and he’s often got less runs than he could have, because we’ve needed quick runs at the time
He batted everywhere just to remain in team , first he was keeper batsmen , then played as proper batsmen then move to 3 as there was better player in middle order 🤣🤣🤣, people calling everything selfless now a days 😂😂😂😂
Worst player to play 100 test
@@ce11amitkumaryadav83to fix his slot? What does that even mean?
@@Bert-lw1ot I have edited
@@ce11amitkumaryadav83 he was never good enough to be a 3, but Root's refusal to play there meant Bairstow was the one who made the sacrifice. He went through an unbelievable spell a couple of years ago when it was him AND Foakes in the team and he was left to play at 5
can’t keep mate, ashes 2023 🤣
I think hes extremely talented and still looked upon as an option, but mainly for sena nations not asia
but thats the case with Warner too
Some of Harmison's views appear to be a bit biased.
Extremely talented player
Hes a great white ball player one of the best we have produced 🏴
He’ll be forever remembered for his brain fade.
Bristow is great one day player, good t 20 player and average test player
i always found him tremendous on the oche
I don’t think the stats support your assertion that he was an average Test player. How many that have played Test cricket end up with 6000 runs?
Bairstow had his moments, but for a country with the riches of talent/systems like England, about time he's gotten rid of. Flat track bully who could never replicate his good form enough in testing conditions or long enough throughout his career.
You don't know cricket at all. Lame
@@jetpark3743 So are you going to offer your own view or just shout down someone else’s. Weak!
Johnny is simple. Outside Asia he can be like, "why not?", but in Asia, "Dont even bother"!
I want the same stuff that Steve Harmison is having!!!
Got bowled through the gate far too often for my liking. Amazing to think how outstanding he was in 2022, yet now he’s done with
@@agr7879 The Wall Rahul Dravid holds the record for most times bowled in tests 🤣
Bairstow has always been the easy target for the cricket elites, he has been fantastic in all formats for England
36 average in tests. good, yes, great at times, but fantastic? i'm not sure.
@@samgh-nw1sh Same test average as Chokendra Dhobi 🤣
hearing rahat alis name surprised me
thought no one else remembered him
Rahat Fateh Ali khan 🎵🎵🎵
Jarrod probably remembers players from obscure sunday leagues. Let alone a forgotten international cap 😂
I thought that Harmison said he doesn't even like cricket.
I think it's too early to talk about Johnny Bairstow's retirement because i believe he can still deliver a lot more dashing runs for England in Test format, obviously now he's going through a lean bad patch because of that freak injury but once he corrects his technical issues and rekindle his diminishing form i think this time there'll be more runs will flow from his bat for England so please don't write off Johnny this early I'm sure he's going to come back in to form and it'll be a bombastic event for England Cricket
Why is everyone after Bairstow? Shoaib Akhtar called him overrated on Sportskeeda 😂
Extremely overrated, much like most England players. Would not make it into the 11 of any top side like Aus and India.
@@Sothpawman If Bairstow is overrated, so are Chu*iya Kumar Yadav and Harpic Pandya. One fluke final won't change that fact 🤣
@@SothpawmanI don’t think you understand the meaning of ‘overrated’
@@Sothpawman England won both white ball World Cups but apparently India are the top side 🤣
@@gts8919 if that is a fluke final then what is umpire brain-fart + boundary count? pull your pants up and sit down.
Is Harmy shaking a little bit? It reminds me of Allan Border’s last few years in the media
He’s always been like that. Introverts do that
Has Harmison watched him play 🤔
One word - patchy
A colonoscopy would be less painful than hearing steve harmison talk.
Tell Harmison to get his big size 12 out of the camera
If Jonny had a little more technical ability I think he could’ve been a little more successful and consistent. I didn’t see anything like the whole of his career but there were a number of times that I witnessed a run of outs that had me questioning not only his technique but where his head was at. My views are based on Test cricket, I have little interest in anything else unless it’s a 50 over World Cup. I know he was a dangerous and successful white ball player but too much of that isn’t under the same microscope as Tests. Anyone who scores 6000 Test runs has had a great career.
Bairstow is a great player…
I have never seen Bairstow perform against India except that 5th test in 2022. He might be decent player of pace but a very poor player of spin.
Iske bs 2-3 hi achievement dikhte hai 😂😂😂 2019 CWC me iski eng ke liye performance aur ind ke against 5th test me hundred baaki ka iska koi performance yaad nhi jo aacha ho personal milestone ke alawa

Maybe he should give up on tests and concentrate on white ball cricket where he is still a great player. Despite his rough patch, he is capable of scoring in white ball cricket
His average tells the story. Wasn't good enough to keep but wanted the gloves and got his way. A decent cricketer who had great moments, but he is just that.....a moments cricketer.
Red ball I’d agree, but I wouldn’t agree he’s a moments players when it comes to white ball cricket
Wouldn't have played 100 tests for India or Australia ,doubt if he would even get a chance for test debut ,okay as white ball player
@@naman1325 Ian Healy played 119 tests for Australia and scored only 4 centuries 🤣
@@gts8919 Healy was a wicketkeeper who batted a bit. Bairstow has always been selected for his batting.
Good player who has exceeded his skill set but I also think he has been the cause of a few players being held back
..Dan Lawrence, Ben Foakes and more
Foakes can't bat. Barely scores runs in counties and no way he's gonna survive against Cummins, Starc etc
bairstow always looks like a bits & pieces player.
Johnny lost his mojo when he grew his moobs
Same like Dilshan is remembered.
@@sayedafif739 Wtf, Dilshan is totally underrated. 10,000+ ODI runs and top scorer at multiple editions of the World Cup. Horrific take 😂
What are you talking about 😂
Inconsistent
Without doubt the worst player to play 100 tests. He should have been dropped 18 months ago. Harmison talking absolute nonsense per usual.
@@JonathanWells-xt3oj Is he worse than Ian Healy who played 119 tests and scored only 4 centuries? 🤣
@@gts8919 Invalid comparison. Ian Healy was always selected as a wicketkeeper and batted mostly at 7 (121 innings) and 8 (43 innings) behind a mostly strong batting lineup (think: Taylor, Hayden, Border, Boon, Slater, the Waughs, Ponting, Martyn, Langer etc). He was NEVER selected mainly for his batting, unlike Bairstow. Four centuries batting at 7 in such an era is pretty good. A better comparison would be between Healy and keepers like Alan Knott or Bob Taylor - excellent wicketkeepers who, like Healy, also batted a bit. Healy was also selected in the ACB's team of the 20th century, ahead of great keepers like Marsh, Grout, and Tallon. I doubt Bairstow will be in the ECB's team of the 21st century.
@@gts8919Are you serious? Healy has that many more dismissals than Bairstow it is not funny. In fact only Boucher and Gilchrist have more dismissals than him. Healy was picked at a time when wicketkeepers were picked to keep wicket first and bat second. Terrible comparison.
@@warrenfoster1931 Seems like Bairstow is held to a higher standard than the likes of Healy, Boucher and Dhobi. Which is my point 🤣
@@dluap569161 Gilchrist also batting low in the order but still has a stellar batting record. Healy plain sucked 😂 And Bairstow in the 21st century ranks ahead of Geraint Jones, Paul Nixon and Matt Prior 😘
Guys stop sitting around and bitching about Jonny..
Was a destructive player at times. But I think he lived off his dad's reputation, especially with a lot of the pundits
That statement makes no sense.
A player with huge flaws in his game who, because of his many friends in the media, talk about him as though he's a great, when actually he averages 36
Axar patel bunny 🐰
Everyone is a potential bunny when facing Axar 😂
Extremely mediocre player except a few good innings on flat roads
He was ok.. did not play in the SPIRIT of the game tho.. and that will be his LEGACY
He should retire from England and concentrate on Yorkshire
He never scored runs in sub continent
Wrong statement pal
