we walked this trail many times as kids. Did you go past the end point? Not sure if its actually allowed however it is the most beautiful site you will see if you climp to the tip top where the satalites are located. its unbelievable. you cant see any homes in the valley, everything from above looks covered in trees.
I didn't go too far off. This is definitely a beautiful spot and probably the most beautiful place I have ever ridden. Lucky to have bike trails in such an area!

Hey Bud, I don't live there so wouldn't be able to help you there. I went in blind and it was easy to follow the trails.
