NTR Govt was very kind enough to develop Buddha Purnima Project at Tank Bund, Hyderabad where biggest standing statue of Bhagwan Buddha was installed by the then CM NTR..!Later this statue was to be innaugurated as planned by NTR, by the Holy Hands of HH Dalai Lama Ji but due to short sighted vision of N Chandrababu Naidu, natizens could not witness this holy occasion..! Now this present Govt has shown right vision to spread the heritage of Bhagwan Buddha again in Andhra, Telangana region at Nagarjunkonda. Old Andhra State has great heritage as much as of 140 Buddhist Monumental sights, like Buddhist Caves, Monesteries and Stupas..! Like wise Amravati has a great importance of having a big Stupa Constructed in 3rd Century BC by Venerable Bhante Acharya NAGARJUNA the first Plant Medicinal Scientist of India..! NAGARJUNA and Bhante Acharya AARYA DEVA were most trusted Disciple of Gautam Buddha..! Now, recently huge Buddha Statue has been erricted at Amaravati by Andhra Pradesh Govt besides the bank of holy Godavari river. This area must be developed as a tourist attraction too..! This was the place where once HH Dalai Lama ji performed the KALCHAKRA PUJA to get rid of sufferings of recycle of death and birth, the reincarnation process..!
