must be an error in the logs. it is not normal mode of engine. look for logs necessary and immediate value of fuel and boost.
manual transmission, 5 gear. if would be automatic, you would see on the panel modes ;)

How can I recognize that emergency mode is active? Engine diagnostics didn't show anything suspicious.

look at the logs. if the mixture is correct, then the nozzles are poured, not sprayed.
in the logs pay attention to the angle of injection.
