Nice little Gem, great surplus ammo, I’ve never seen. This was one of my first & favorite milsurp guns I got (now 4X the value) it’s a 1930 Tula in excellent condition. Thanks for posting 👍🏼 Nice
I also bought one of these years ago for $95. Still have the sales ad. I can't believe the prices on GunBroker now. They just aren't worth that. But, hey, if people are willing to pay..... This really is a cool quirky revolver though.
I love mine, everyone craps on it because of the caliber but actually commercial made ammo nowadays is underpowered and those Surplus rounds are real hot, I heard they are equivalent to .38/.357 in terms of ballistic but don't quote me. the only thing good about commercial ammo is the brass, then you can experiment. You can actually make cartridges out of 32-20 brass with some modification if you cant find the commercial ammo.

Yeah, I see a few at $300 and they seem to settle around the $425 mark. Its definitely one of those surplus guns that people are specifically attempting to inflate the market value. I'm sure the Romanian Tokarev will follow behind soon in this trend once the big retailers quit selling them at sub $250.

These guns can use the .32 S&W Long, if you don't care about the gas seal. I've seen someone claim that they can shoot .32 H&R Magnum as well, but have never tried that--the .32 H&R Magnum ammunition isn't all that common, and I'd be leary of pushing an old gun that hard.
Yea I looked hard but passed when they were dirt cheap. A closeup look just made them seem like they were made with a file and a hammer. I don't mind the fact it is obsolete and odd configuration etc. That is not a negative when you like surp stuff. But they looked so horrible rough and crude. And the ammo issue did not counter balance that. I bet the early ones were not as crude as the Soviet ones.
I wonder how to make this system work better, like in modern revolvers with a new cartridge, based on .357 but incorporating the elongated case like with Nagant ammo
I don't know where you are from, but if you're from the U.S., you can easily find these for around $300 (Albeit that's still extremely high for what this is).
