This looks excellent, let's hope politics and corporate greed don't get in the way.

Listen.. I am glad that treatments are improving! That is amazing and we are on the path to an eventual cure.
That being said, barring substance abuse and mental incapacity, I cannot fathom how someone with HIV can simply “forget to take it” seeing how serious it is if they do, and how normal life is BECAUSE of the medicine. Always baffles me.

My friend act so non chalant about taking his medication. He act like it's a joke. 1 pill a day isn't bad compared to progressing to AIDS. I hope he will be around but if he not taking his medication/ skipping he could face medication resistance. I just pray that he be ok. I think that he is in denial about having HIV also even though the doctor told him he has it. He say that he don't have it. I try to just not make things worse and know my place and shut my mouth and know what to say and when to just be quiet.

@@Warmblanket649 That is sad and reckless. I hope he starts taking it more seriously, especially seeing how easy it is to maintain a normal life.. when you say that he treats it like a joke, you mean he goes days without taking it or he takes it but jokes about it? He could also look into the shot (1 shot last 2 months instead of daily pill). I hope he gets it together…

@@derekduncan264 he was in the hospital in 2022 for phemonia the doctor diagnosed him with HIV/aid and he in denial that he don't have it. At first he was taking his medications but not consistently and now he doesn't take them at all. He say that he will be ok and he not a pill or needle person. It's insanity to me! I can't wrap my mind around it!

@@Warmblanket649 “Im not a pill person”. I have heard that so many times, but the irony is that when he eventually gets sick from opportunistic infections, he will have so many meds just to keep his failing heart beating. Sounds like he needs extremely tough, hard love and clinical mental help. I am sorry you are experiencing this with him… I hope he is able to wake up and realize that his life is not going to be the same, but he can have a normal, healthy life if he simply takes the lifesaving meds… Years of research, death and relief to finally have a treatment, and people simply don’t want it.
