1954 Elgin 2hp outboard engine: seized to seaworthy in 2 days

I got this outboard from craigslist for $40. Seized solid. Through some very questionable measures I unseize it and take it out for a drive on the lake.

16 to 1 mix air cooled oil. and it has to be in at least a garbage can with water up to the exhaust port. Even though it is air cooled it still needs water to cool the bottem end. goo job.

How does this have spark, with a bad coil?

if it has a water pump it should have exit water somewhere on it? Didn't see any? is it overheating?

It's air cooled.

I guess the coil wasn't bad. It just really looked like it was.
