I audibly gasped when I saw how slow it went through the first wave turn
in real life it's not that bad. when i went on it, i was way out of my seat

This was in the morning on a very cold day, it was definitely running very slow compared to most rides and was only on one train the whole day, unfortunately
Did you hear that lightning rod is gonna be closed temporarily on October 30th. It will be getting a chain lift hill and it will no longer have a launch. It will reopen on spring 2024.
Yup, will be getting my last rides on it (hopefully) in a couple of weeks! I did a short about this recently. It should make the ride more reliable, at least. Which will be nice since it has broken down at least once every time I've visited and I bet it was because of the launch
Great video! It definetly looks like it's running show in the video, was it taken before the ride got a chance to warm up, or is that how much they've toned down the launch?
Thanks! It was definitely running slow, this was in the morning, on a cold day, with one train ops. Didn't get the chance to ride after it warmed up a bit, because the weather never improved, sadly. I got a season pass, so I'm sure I'll return at some point later in the year though!

I think I was there that day and you got called out for having your phone. It was running so slow because of the cold.
Certainly wasn't me, I never pull out my phone on rides (or any loose articles, for that matter) as it is very dangerous (especially on thrill rides like this). But yes, this was running super slow because of how cold it was
Rode for the first time last October, was awesome!
Really is a great ride! Only wish I rode it when it first opened when there was no trim at the top

So you're an operator, huh? This was your morning ride around, I can tell because Roadway has no cars on the track and you stopped immediately on the brakes, which tells me you're the only one on the train.
Not quite! This was the first ride after it was down for a bit. I think there was someone in the back row, and my friend was riding next to me in the front row as well.
