Exactly how I have my D-Box+ setup with my Apollo in my writing studio... "bananas" indeed! It is a great way to work and monitor. I added a older iphone to my desk setup with a Tuna Knob to the iPhone so now I have a fixed physical remote on my desk to control the D-Box+.

Hey Fab DuPont, I have a question for you. I watched the video you posted on RUclips about the Dangerous D-Box+. I also came across another video on summing with a 16-channel setup, but I'm currently using the D-Box+ which only has 8 outputs. My question is, considering this limitation, what would be the best way to assign the tracks? For example, should the kick go on channel 1, snare on channel 2, and how should I allocate the remaining tracks like keyboard, guitar, vocals, and effects within the available 8 channels? Currently, my setup is as follows: drums on channels 1-2, guitar and bass on 3-4, keyboard on 5-6, and vocals and effects on 7-8. I would greatly appreciate your suggestion on how to optimize my track assignments given these limitations. Thank you!

I'm curious as to the purpose of monitoring your DAW session through spdif. Why not use the apollo x8 convertors, and monitor the session through the apollo x8 monitor outputs (connected to the dbox+ analog inputs? If you're tracking in the DAW (digital), why is there a need to monitor the analog inputs?
Hello, there are a couple answers to this quiestion. First and foremost digital conversion is one of our areas of engineering exptertise and investiment. Dangerous users buy our gear for the sound. Our mastering-grade converters/the way we implement them into our equipment play a critically huge role in that. Users hear the difference and almost unanimously prefer the quality of our converters over the ones built into their interfaces when doing A/B comparison. Secondly, depending on a users's personal workflow in the studio, realtime monitoring of analog inputs is critical and monitoring using D-BOX+ D/A allows you to simply hear everything. There are many different ways you can integrate D-BOX+ into your rig. If you want to chat, hit our support team up via email or phone for a direct conversation.- www.dangerousmusic.com/contact
This is dependent upon the signal you are feeding it. If you'd like to set up a phone call or Zoom with us at your own convenience, hit the website and go to support. RUclips won't allow direct links in the comment section.
First, you would go with the X16 - 16 outs from Apollo into 16 ins on 2-BUS+ for summing and built-in color circuits. For LIAISON you have 2 BUSSES. BUS A you would connect to the master insert on 2-BUS+ for additional color options using your outboard gear. BUS B could be used for tracking and how you integrate that would be dependent upon how you're getting into your DAW. Please contact us directly and we can chat about your rig. info@dangerousmusic.com or +1 845-202-5100

Hey, instead of the Apollo I intend to buy the DigiGrid IOS-XL Interface (the one using SoundGrid, sound over IT, server included in it...)- Do you think is this a good choice (for that interface), am I going to get us some amazing results, or should I reconsider the interface (which BTW it has a Server for saving the computer CPU when using its plug-ins...- same idea like the UAD, but using the Cat6 instead...) If so, Could you please make another video and explain how to connect those two things together(DigiGrid and Dangerous Box) to get the maximum results...? Or if you don’t have time at least send me please a “schematic” with all the connections, for that particular Interface...- Thank you very much

Hello everyone. Anybody in here using the D-Box+ with and Apollo rack and Cubase?. I was able to set the 8 channels going to the summing and I am returning to and input in Cubase but I am not sure that what I am listening is correct. If I insert an effect on the input channel I do not hear the difference when I change to SPIDIF which is suppose to be the output of the DAW. Anyone know how to set up the apollo console and cubase properly?. Thanks in advance. Luis.

For the AES/SPDIF connection, if I am tracking in Logic Pro X, but not using the UAD console for any amp sims or anything like that and I want to listen to Logic since I have processing on the track while the client tracks, does the AES/SPDIF connection work in realtime without latency?
