This video actually got me back into Nerf after... God knows how many years. Used to plink around with a Nitefinder as a kid, and then found this as an adult. Gradually saw more and more stuff, first the 3d printed stuff that crossed over with this hobby (FDL-3, MHP Magpie) and then started seeing more and more crazy mods. Stuff like Proton Packs, Caliburns, Captain Xavier's Tyr, and I just needed to get into it. Here I am, a year and a half later, with practically my own arsenal at the ready. I'm semi-regularly looking for and ordering lots of blasters from Ebay and Goodwill, I've got my own Magpie that I printed myself, and I've learned far more from this hobby than I could have through school. All thanks to this. Sad to see that the FDL-3 was too popular for its own good, but for me it will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you, Joel. You brought me back to a hobby I never knew I loved so much.

Fernando Nuñez yeah, so we’re using a new camera and a new lens and for the middle portion, which we filmed before the beginning and the end, i hadn’t realized that the lens was varifocal, or the focus shifts as you zoom. So I’d zoom in to grab focus, and when I zoomed out the focus would shift. From the handeling perspective, the front grip integrated into the body of the blaster seem to be a big problem. I think in the second half of the video you can see a finger getting pretty close to the muzzle. Anyway, great video!
