I've got about 300 video recipes posted here on RUclips now and that includes Asian, Italian, Mexican, Cajun, Indian and many other worldly foods. Not to mention all of the classic American or Americanized foods you can find in the USA. My recipe genres break down into some wonderful playlists; Appetizers, Soups and Salads, Pasta and Sauce recipes, Seafood or Chicken recipes. Also Holiday, Barbecue and Party recipes and a whole lot more. So be sure to take a good look at my channel and watch more videos because there's a whole lot more coming your way!

    Consistent with your theme of gourmet on a low budget:
    Wine making from fresh fruit may require space and equipment that many people don't have. Alternatively, we can make consistently good wine from 1) dried fruit (elderberries, cherries, mangoes, etc) and 2) store bought juice, such as apple, cranberry and grapefruit. The best quality fresh pressed American apple cider I bought last weekend will result in good quality wine at ~$1 per bottle. Another cheap source I have no experience with is fruit juice concentrates, available from brew shops.
    A how-to video on back sweetening might also be useful for a lot of people. Bone dry peach wine would probably have little appeal for most people but a little sweetening can make it a hit. My elderberry wine is a bit too acidic when dry but two ounces of sugar per gallon balances it out very nicely (for me).

      If I understand you right, ethanol is released with the carbon dioxide through an airlock (bubbler) as the wine ferments.

    Thanks for the video. I’m I am very much a novice winemaker so I watch a lot of videos and read on the subject. Is there any concern about introducing oxygen when you pour the contents into the strainer bag/bucket?

    • @PMGK
      @PMGK  Год назад

      No, oxygen in short bursts isn't concerning. It's the long exposure that could potentially be a problem so make sure everything is sealed up tight. The Co2 will push all of the remaining oxygen out of the airlock within minutes of the containment being sealed. up.

    • @PMGK

      You can also throw a balloon🎈 over the top. That will keep the oxygen out and the balloon will fill up with Co2.

    what if its still bubbly after a week?

    • @PMGK
      @PMGK  3 года назад

      Just wait until it stops. If it doesn't, you may need to de-gas the wine. I do this with a $7 dollar wine whisk that attach's to my drill and I stir the heck out of it until all of the CO2 releases. Rack it first though, so you don't stir in all of the sediment.
