Trukutá 8th Workshop: South American Bombo

Trukutá Percussion is a project that unites different drum percussion traditions of the world brought to you by Heartdancers and the Inner West Council.
This is our last workshop for the Trukutá project! And we bring you special instruments from the ancient mountains of the Andes! Learn the basics on the Bombo, a drum that is shared across most countries across the South American continent. The Bombo is the basis for the globally renowned Andean Saya music! In this workshop you will also be introduced to the Chakas, a percussion instrument made out of Llama claws and what people across the Andes have used to accompany their dancing rituals to thank Mother Earth.
