Your video is confusing. You are using the profile numbers and room numbers as if they are the same thing. It’s hard to follow. D-Star does not have rooms but it does have Reflectors. You should be saying Reflector instead of room/profile. So I can’t tell I which you mean. Only Wires X has rooms. And DMR has Talk Groups. You then start using one radio to activate the profile another will use. Would be better to change the profile in the software and then show the radio the profile will work on instead of showing how any radio can change a profile. And you do not show how and where to program a radio with what content in order for that radio to change a profile.

Excellent video. As an aside, which is your favorite digital mode?

I wanted to ask you a question concerning the placement of my OpenSpot3. I use the OS3 in my shack ONLY and always keep it plugged in. When it's not in use I keep it in NULL. It sits on a shelf in front of my MFJ auto tuner. I also have my HF radio in the shack as well as ladder line coming into the shack. My question is when I transmit on HF while in the shack, can RF damage the Open Spot3 in any way? I haven't yet gone on HF since receiving the OS3. I figured I would ask someone like yourself before I transmit. Any information concerning this question would be greatly appreciated. Be well.

About the HAM test... Why take a test for building a radio or antenna? When you buy them ready to go. I think the FCC needs to change with the times. We need a test for plug in and go. Thanks

Interesting video. I have the original openspot and a nanospot. I use the openspot for dmr and the nanospot for dstar. Thus I can listen to both at the same time. Mark kb3z

SAME THING HE SAID. ALL YOU DID WAS CONFUSE AND FRUSTRATE ME FURTHER. "Your video is confusing. You are using the profile numbers and room numbers as if they are the same thing. I don't know why you seem to think that this openspot 3 is easy. I have been working for about 4 days and 20 hours a day and keep butting my head on a brick wall. All I want is a hotspot for the car tied to my phone for d-star and the ID-5100a. I think tomorrow I will drive my silverdo pick up over this worthless impossible hotspot that will not work for me.
