    I always thought Lionel was a fascinating character. I always liked how he slowly began to redeem himself while Lex went the opposite direction down a darker path.

      Agreed, i also liked lionel in the first seasons. When im high and watch smallville, he always make me laugh badly. He is so bastard. And i Lion-el was one of my favourite characters. Even thou with his own means, lionel truly wanted to help and do good.

      EXACTLY. That's why he's my favorite character! He's very complex and I love that about him.

    I love this scene so much, you can see every single thought and notion as it happens in his head the whole way through, he only SAYS about 10% of the dialogue that happens here. Everything else is pure bodily expression, freakin marvelous acting on both of their parts.

      I would have liked to have Clark kind of stumble once he realizes that Lionel is telling the truth. It's just a subtle thing. Tom did an excellent job and this is more like me nitpicking a little

      Clark siempre sintió ese deseo de matar cuando pensaba que lana había muerto, 😔

    I know! Lionel is a perfect example of someone who really can change. He was still manipulative, yes, but it was to protect Clark all the time. I have something further to say about that, but I don't want to give anything away if you haven't seen season 7 yet.

    It came to light that Lionel did it to protect Clarck, Clark did try to kill Lionel but the Martian Manhunter intervened and explained Lionel was a vessel for Jor El or something like that.

    I love this scene, Lionel tells to Clark that Lana is died. But in fact Lex did something to her. I think Lex made another Lana and he didn't know. Lana tricked Lex to go to jail but, she hurt her true love Clark and I think she went to China to hide. But she return to see Clark in season 7 episode Fierce and she finds Kara Clark's cousin.

    Even though John Glover has said he didn't personally like exploring Lionel's lighter side, I still think he did an excellent job in moments like this. The role was originally created as a sharp contrast to Jonathan Kent, but after the latter's death the show's writers had more freedom to expand his arc.

    i had a feeling that lionel had to say something to get lana to marry lex and seeing how lionel was in the episode the traveler really showed the langths that lionel would do to protect clark even if some of us might not get it morally.lionel would not kill clark when he said that to lana he might have clark or lana kidnapped or somehow make lana think he killed clark but killing him in season 6 no way.

    I didn't see this episode but i heard that Clark finds out that Lionel was the one who forced Lana to marry Lex. So how come in S7 when Lionel returns, Clark hugs him and they are all close again??!!

    • @CaseyCampbell24
      @CaseyCampbell24 7 лет назад +1

      Vixin24 that is not okay you and I wholeheartedly understand why would Clark forgive him he shouldn't despite the fact that Johnathan is dead he should remember even if he's gone he should never forget what he taught him Lionel did something that goes against everything Johnathan did to raise Clark by forcing Lana into that marriage and not telling her why he threatened her is clear evidence that he has sent her in on a suicide mission without her even knowing about it
