Alum block is NOT aluminium... It's potassium alum. It's a kind of salt basically. So there will never be aluminium in your blood stream. As far as I know, there is no heath issue using it. I use alum block for my armpits too. Helps eliminating the bacteria thus eliminatiıng the odor.

Good job Heiko, esp after a week.
The Leaf razors are great and never an issue. Agree, with a stainless or Ti version. 😊
Alum block is the mineral without being refined into Aluminum. After over half a century of use, no toxic impact - thus far.
Will have a look at the disassembly vid, as my leaf razors may need a service at some stage - they do get the full cleaning treatment after each use, but deeper maintenance knowledge, and how things are put together is always a good thing.
Keep them coming, cheers for now.

Great shave comparison. I would never have guessed the Twig would have performed so well compared with the R41 on that amount of beard growth. And thank you for the German word of the day, which I enjoy.

Mentioned it in a comment of a previous video. Glysolid is really a good product. Manufactured in Darmstadt, distributor obviously sits in Munich (at least for DE). Price in US seams to be quite high. 9,34 $ for two tins. Here in DE you can get it for about 1,75 € per 100 ml tin.
21:18 remaining stubbles are so annoying. :-)

All my favourite knots are synthetic, and I find they perform better than my natural hair brushes (I have badger, boar and horse hair). I find my best badger and boar knots are great for face-lathering from a hard puck, but for most purposes, synthetics are excellent.

Great video, I love seeing side by side comparisons. And great shave on both sides too.

Wie Gehts Heiko....Nice to have you back - hope the deck build went well. Love my Twig and it's as comfortable to use as you say, yet very efficient. Got a Mühle R-41 but afraid to use it too often. 😃

The deck build is still ongoing that is the reason for the low output of videos at the moment.

Man the leaf twig looks like such an awesome razor, I like the way it loads and the way the blade is helped by the magnet that just screams quality in my opinion!

It is great, I just wish they would try to make that out of a more durable material.

14:18 I too found an inch long hair on my neck just below where I normally shave and it was strange. No idea how long it's been there but I hope nobody had seen it.

Hey Heiko! Nice shave. Imo you don't need to use aggressive razors at all unless you shave once a month and have no trimmer. Thanks a lot for german word, I'll wait for another one! Have a great week.

Great review Heiko. I gave my Twig razor away because I just could not get use to the different shave angle. Have a great week. 👍🚁
